but I'll hold off my final judgement when I FEEL the plastics. 👍

True, true

The layout is nice, the materials look nice, and -- for the first time in ages -- the detailing doesn't look like someone sneezed it out. Nice step up, Chevrolet. 👍

Agreed 👍

That is pretty nice, both in terms of quality and design. It still won't be up to VW/Audi levels (who is?), but it looks like it should be in the same ballpark as Camry/Accord/Altima.

BTW, pardon my ignorance, but what's QFT?

Quoted For Truth :)

Now then back to the Malibu/Caprice/Impala whateveryouwantocallit.

In a recent motortrend, they had a sketch of the 09 Impala, which looks dangerously close to this car, so anychances? :)

The best photos I have of the next-gen Impala came from our good friend at GTPlanet, Casio, after he caught a few peeks at a neighbors prototype.

(...The imageshack link isn't working anymore...)

Don't get me wrong, the Malibu and the Impala will look similar, but based on the photos provided (plus earlier spy-shots), the Motor Trend Photochop isn't very close at all.

I seriously don't think thats an Impala, I think thats just the middle east export models (just rebadged Commdores/Statesmans LHD)

*EDIT*

The equivalent middle east Chevrolet model

*EDIT* 2

Just noticed the pic you posted was the second one Casio took which is different, which I still think its a middle east test model.

I've zoomed in on the photo that Casio had sent to me earlier on. Clearly there is a defined Impala logo on the back of the car, and also note the "Left Hand Drive" sticker in the rear window as well. All signs, at least for me, denote it as an Impala LTZ or SS prototype with the optional V8 (note the quad-exhaust).

Well, now that is interesting!

I am suprised I never noticed that before when casio first posted it.
