They tried, it worked, it killed folks. So it got banned... But then again, drivers died in F1 those days, too.

Now, it's time to re-merge them :D

So if Kimi wins again 2009 will have a GP of Finland?
I'd certainly like to see one. Chances are you'll get a second round in England because of Lewis Hamilton first. Though according to Wikipedia (worst source ever), there's going to be another ten in 2011 that are in negotiations: United States, Czech Republic, Russia, Portugal, South Africa, United States West, Poland, London, the Netherlands and Mexico ... none of them have any citations and the article adds a line suggesting there will be even more: Austrian, Morocco, Argentina, Switzerland, Greece, Egypt and Paris. Again, no citations.

If you add all of those to the current line-up, you get about forty rounds. As much as I'd love to see a season like that, it simply couldn't be done (unless they have one a week with 12 weeks' break at the end ... and I don't think 12 weeks is enough to build a new car).

Kyalami FTW!

A1 Ring FTW!

Close-to-home GPs FTW! (I could get to Egypt in a few hour's drive, or Greece for a cheap one-hour flight :D)

I also support more races in American time-zones. Brazil, Argentina, Canada, US, Mexico (bring it back!). I get them in a comfy late evening-time :D

Yeah, but have you heard any news of them being introduced?

The A1 Ring - or Red Bull Ring as it's now known - probably won't be seeing action for some time. Red Bull went and destoryed the pit building when they decided to upgrade the circuit, complete with a new extension, but environmental lobbyists protested and brought the project to a halt. That was some time around 2002-ish, and nothing has happened since.
