LOL I was away for a loong time and the BMW M3 #26 is already up to 11th place. What a drive!!! A top 10 finish is very likely now.

Number 2 Audi is being towed.. How the??

Yeah ti's going pretty fast, it's in the 8:30's.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll give your tip a go Tommi, see if it loads...I've given it about a minute so far :nervous:

Also, has anybody got anything on the Honda S2000 running in 33rd? #158 I believe...?

It's orange.

And the #2 Audi with Problems!

That would be me...I was just sitting watching, thinking "the Audi might have a chance..."...must've jinxed them :ouch:

Driveshaft or Gearing Problem. One of the drivers said of the #2 Audi...

Looks like game over, or a finish off the podium for Audi. Not a good race for them.👎

Come on Ferrari & BMW!!

I'm not the only one who doesn't fancy a Porsche victory? :)

I want a Porsche victory, but for the #11 GT3 RS.

i wouldn't mind seeing the ferrari or bmw win, but it looks unlikley.

Well I wouldn't mind a Porsche winning as long as it isn't a Manthey car, technically the leading car is a factory backed 911 and don't get me wrong it is a fantastic machine, but is ran by Manthey so no thanks.

If a Porsche has to win I want it to be the #11 simply because it is a proper road car that has driven down to the circuit by itself and has not had any major problems.👍

I think the Ferrari deserves the win more than the M3 and the 911, but I don't think it currently has the pace to win. Now the #2 Audi is out, i'd like it to finish with the M3 in first, F430 in second and the #11 911 in third.👍

#2 might be out, having my fingers crossed for the BMW and the Ferrari

Agreed. It would take something happening to the lead Porsche to tighten things up a little for a Ferrari or BMW victory to happen.

Also...just seeing an onboard with the Porsche, it really struck me how much the car moved and bumped and jostled on the track surface, it's something that doesn't really come across on the outside shots...am I the only one linking every corner to how it should be taken on GT4?! :dunce:

It is still sometime to go... So the Porsche didn´t win yet! Still 4 hours to go!

Yes, I just drove in GT4 these days the Nordschleife again :)

#2 Audi has a broken driveshaft apparently.

Tommi, I was just looking at the entry list, and as somebody said earlier, the VW's are in the AT class as they run CNG.

@Duffers: It was me telling the CNG thing ;)

I don´t know how you all see that, but it is a cool experience to comment on the race with you guys.
Cheers!

I know the porsche hasn't won yet, but if it has no problems i can't see it losing. But yeah, still a few hours left, anything could happen.

New brakes on the #97 Audi...

Kutscher how come you didn't go to the race? As according to your profile you're 'Near the Nordschleife'.

Oh, I knew they were all powered by Compressed Natural Gas, but I was sure they remained in the same class as petrol fueled cars. I must have misheard/read all the different classes, Sorry!:ouch:
At least it will be a class win for the #117 currently.

#43 Ferrari up to 3rd

My thoughts exactly! I've just got up and I'm watching the race on the live stream (sadly RLM still isn't happening for me, I blame my rubbish laptop :yuck:) and live discussion with you guys is fascinating, a good experiance :) I look forward to watching the Le Mans 24 Hours with you all on here!

I have enjoyed watching the race so far, and reading this thread aswell as posting now and again, i will definitely watch le mans.

As this is an worldwide forum, I am really "near" the Nordschleife. It is around 150 - 200 kms away.

From 1998 I was at all 24h Races except 3. (This year, last year and the other I don´t remember right now...)
From 2000 I was working at the Race as a Marshal. I always favored the small teams and the Falken Team. The year 2000 was marvelous with the Supra! And I "fell" in love with the Skylines there, too.

I wanted to go there this year again, but well some things you can´t plan with. But I am enjoying the race this way, too.

Cheers,
Matthias

I Agree, im really enjoying this too, even better than last year, I don't want it to end.:( We need to do a GTP pilgramige to this event one year.! Im hoping to go next year.:)

#43 Ferrari's lap times are getting faster!

Le Mans and the Sebring 12 hours are my 2 favourite enduros, its annoying because I've missed both of them for like the last few years (including this year's Sebring :dunce:), but I consider it special that I caught the Sebring race with the Flying Lizard Porsche vs the Ferrari for GT2 victory...think it was Melo in the Ferrari and Bergmeister in the Porsche? Incredible :sly:

Yeah, it would be nice to meet you all there. Just tell me when and I will try to be there ;)

But if the 24h Race is impossible, we could still watch the VLN Long distance cup. (4h and 6h Races with nearly all the same cars and teams)
