That's all for today folks. I've got a bit of work to do now. More races coming soon. :)

Thanks again for running these races, shem! 👍

Kinda wished I'd have had a bit more luck in the starting grid draw, but looking at the results for the Nascar races, I don't think I've got anything to complain about. As for that one non-Nascar race, I'll simply pretend it didn't happen.

Ssshhhhhhhhh!

I'm sure in the next lot of races your driver will have some luck and get up on the top of the grid. 👍

Thanks Shem for hosting these races!

I was looking at the results so far and find it interesting that the 3 drivers (M. Sierra, P. Adam, G. Rodrigo) presently on the podium are all very Cool drivers.

Have you checked any replays? Are the rest of the drivers cooking their tires off, or are they, in typical Bob fashion, trying to pass going thru bumpers rather than around cars?

I've no idea what they're doing as I don't know how to watch the replays. If I can find out how then I'll record them and put them on here for us all to watch.

My driver is cool but is performing very badly:sly:, It's about how much practice they have had in a particular car and track but I think having a cool driver is actually a disadvantage for races where the cars are bumper to bumper like Nascar since the cool driver is more likely to spin out at low mental strength and does not overtake as well as a hot one.

@shem You can save replays (for when you get home) in remote races but you cannot watch through your browser. I think there is a checkbox for recording replays somewhere.

I'll definitely check that out, sounds like something I remember seeing.

I have a feeling the cooler drivers are better at keeping the car composed as I've seen them holding their positions well whereas the hotter drivers seem better at moving up in the ranks but with the chance of putting it on the grass.

If you look at the leading drivers in an attempt to draw any conclusions, you'll equally have to look at the starting positions. The current leader, as example, is M.Sierra, and if you look at the starting positions for M.Sierra, you'll find that out of 7 races, he started in the points (top 6) 5 times. Out of these 5 times, 4 times in the top 3, twice from 1st. Only twice he started out of the points. By contrast, closer towards the bottom of the leaderboard, you'll find drivers who've never started in the top 3, and only once or twice started in the points. Take C.Montgomery, for example, he started in 4th place last race (his only start in the points), had one start in 7th, and started 10th or below 5 times. I'd think that starting positions have a much bigger influence on the leaderboard than anything else.

This is actually turning into a better series than I thought seeing as we can actually use it as an experiment to find out how bob operates. If only we could know which arrow they had too when entering each race, that would tell even more.

This is good. Any schedule for future races, and how to register?

See here.

Anyone is welcome. This series will be next up after the current NASCAR championship in this thread is over.

Oh dear, I knew I shouldn't have pushed that driver for air of experience  Looks like I have a soon to be retired driver ;)

It's time gentlemen, Bobs, start your engines.

Round 2 of the 2011 GTP NASCAR Championship is coming!

Race 7 - Winner: C. Montgomery

G Rodrigo has 3 wins already. He's looking tough.

Like true Nascar as its based on points he'll lose the lead with out more top 6 finishes thats the reason for points this time. Consistent driving.
But that makes Grid position more important. (As driver stat training does not exist in GT5, You increase stats at the same rate when you level up B-spec drivers. Driver experience bar may add a variable but it does not alter the base stats on the site which sets the starting skills. )

Shem.
You might want to move people about on front page to go down in points order at the end of the day. when you do points updates. just an idea copied from the EU forums.
The lead is not that big.

Then again, who's to say he won't consistently start in the points? He's had 7 starts in the points out of 8 races so far, and in the one race he was out of the points, he wasn't far out (8th). If he can keep this starting record, I'm sure he'll be able to secure the win.

I do plan to do it at some point. The way that post is laid out though means there is lines of code everywhere! I'm probably do it later today, I just hope I don't lose any data while I'm moving the drivers around. :scared:

More races coming this afternoon. 👍 (My keyboard battery died on my yesterday)

Race 9. Winner: P. Adam :)

Crap, what happened!? That's the very first time my driver has lost a place in the entire Nascar championship, and then he lost three at once, and finished last? :(

I know, and look at the progress that C. Boulanger made!!!

Race 10. Winner: C. Wong

Actualy every race hoodfeild that your driver - H.fujimoto has entered in, in this, the driver has lost grid positions per race. So hes consistent in being passed so far.

Race 3 started 3rd - finished 6th
Race 4 started 2nd - finished 4th
Race 9 started 4th - finished 8th.

Thanks for the new listings Graphite. My money was on G. Rodrigo from the beginning and he seems to be doing well.
Most of the leaders, so far, have been lucky with starting positions to be able to get their points.

P. Barre has been unavailable for the whole competition so I think he can be dropped due to the amount of races missed.

C. Cho was always going to be tough to catch, just like Fujimoto as they're very popular drivers else where!

At the end of the competition I'll post all of the final result graphs in one post so driver performance can be compared.

M. Sierra; not entered in races 9 & 10.... There goes my chance at winning this B-Spec NASCAR Championship.

10 races left, that means the Chase for the B-spec cup starts next race and C Wong is getting hot at the right time. :sly:
