Yes, because R/T = sporty in the consumer's eye.

I'm not sure. Us being "car people," it's really hard to attempt to rationalize how anyone without car knowledge would view the product. The SXT and R/T packages are both supposed to be the sportier trim levels, but my understanding is that Dodge was going away from a lot of the letter-based trim levels.

In my mind, R/T means a HEMI V8, big wheels and a sticker package. Not much else.

Has a pretty nice stance up front. Rear would look cooler with .5-1" drop.

If they dropped the rear they'd have to stiffen up the suspension quite a bit.

you guys forget that the Italians are in charge, now? they might actually work some magic back into R/T packaging (HINT, HINT, Fiat!!)

problem is, you KNOW there are guys that are gonna say that Sporty is NOT for what's left of the SUV market. around here, they'd be slogging through mudholes, I bet :P

with 60+ inch tractor tires and axles from the front of Vietnam era military trucks. :P

But, yeah. I've kind of gotten back into the whole 4X4 thing.

At the new Fiat-Chrysler, the offroad stuff is done by the Ram and Jeep brands. The Durango, apparently, is not a part of that.

It's actually "Citadel." I think it's stupid and will confused the average consumer.

So...... GMC can put "DENALI" at the end of each model but dodge can't do sumthing simular? The citadale is the luxury version of the RT.

I tell ya, when other companies do something, no one complains .then when chrysler does the same thing its "stupid".

nope. they're still using the 30 inch tires, and the national guard is still DRIVING the Vietnam era millitary trucks (the hummers all disintegrated!)

they use the SUV's for hauling the tractors OUT of the mud holes after all, would you want to break a 60 year old axle trying to self-haul your post-war Farmall out of a seep area?

It went to Europe and got an advanced degree in technology. It came home to Detroit and blew its head off.

an unfortunate high-profile incident, but a freak incident nonetheless.

Oh, and Sniffs, this is what I speak...er, spoke...of...

I see the Ferrari tech is already filtering to Dodge.

Also, it's a parade, how was there not a fire truck on the scene?
