So Vettel has won the Drivers World Championship, but the season is far from over.. The Constructors championship isn't quite wrapped up yet, and all the top drivers will still be battling for wins in the final few races.

On the topic ... IIRC Vettel dominated last year until his engine blew. That's not going to happen this time, so I guess he's favourite once again. As always, the battle for 2nd should be interesting.

Anyone would like to predict if Hamilton and Massa are going to "meet" again on the track? :D

Can't wait for this. Button pole and Button win is my prediction.

Even though Sunday's forecast says sunny I don't believe it, I think it will be like last year again. (Except I'll actually get to watch it:ouch:)
 
Will Webber win a race this year? Will Mercedes reach the podium in any remaining races? Will any car run into another because of pit entrance location?

And a late evening race here on the West Coast of Canada (PDT); instead of the usual 5 a.m. :crazy:
 
Karthikeyan will run in Liuzzi's place during FP1. Seems like a odd move, given the washout we had last year - the teams will have little useable data.

Are you suggesting Karthikeyan's car will not provide usable data? He's not that bad! :lol:
 
On a green track in FP1? How do you know how much better Liuzzi is for feedback? For all we know Kathikeyan is actually good at this if lacking in pace.

FP1 is for checking the general setup of the car, getting the drivers up to speed and generally just preparing for the rest of the weekend (checking fuel consumption, gear ratios, perhaps practicing pit stops, etc etc). The data isn't really dependant on the driver input which is why we frequently see reserve drivers stuck in FP1 as its the least important part of the weekend.

Certainly here at Korea even data in FP1 is a bit more important than usual due to the lack of previous dry running data. But for HRT they do have other concerns beyond simply performance on the track...and the team can collect dry running data even with a complete imbecile in the driving seat as long as he doesn't crash it and can run consistent laps.
 
I remember this being quite an exciting GP last year, mainly for the weather mind but it was a good watch. Looking forward to it. Reckon Button should nab a win here.

I agree. Button is out to destroy Vettel!!! Nah Button is a good guy that I can see winning another championship in the years to come.
 
I expect to see a strong effort from Red Bull. The Drivers championship is all wrapped up, but the Constructor's is still very much up for grabs. The glory is in the driver's, but the money is in the Constructor's.:sly:

Now that the driver's is over, expect to see some awesome racing!
 
Anything can happen. The Constructors isn't over until it's over, and that's coming from a huge Red Bull fan.

I'm just realising that I don't think I've ever seen a lap from Korea before. I missed the race last year so wasn't aware they'd already run there!

Looking at Vettel's pole lap it seems there'll be a lot of overtaking in the first third of the lap and a few queues behind slower drivers around the other two thirds. More exciting layout than your average Tilke circuit though.
 
Button was very poor here last year. I'm going to take a punt and go for Alonso again, but finishing ahead because of pace rather than better reliability.
 
I think Lewis will win this one. He's well overdue.

I'm going for Hamilton this race. He needs to prove he ain't sleeping in that car sooner or later.
 
I think Vettel has this. He was comfortably leading last year until his engine went, and now that he has the title he can be even more relaxed for these last few races.
 
My guess for the possible victories would be Button having another go, Alonso dragging the car home to the maximum and Hamilton getting his glory back. All three of them definitely have a clear chance but I'm not counting out Vettel. He could well be pushing just to collect more trophy though :lol:

Come on people, the contructor's is wrapped up. Don't bring up any false hope. The only thing that could happen is Red Bull get disqualified.
