Rules:;
*You must choose from the following cars Chevrolet Camaro SS '10, Dodge Challenger SRT 8 '08, Ford Mustang '07,*No race modifications!*
*Cars will have no more than 575 Performance Points.
*No skid recovery, active steering, tcs, or asm.
*The following modifications must be made: All 3 stages of weight reduction, Window weight reduction, Carbon fiber hood, All 3 stages of engine upgrade, Racing exhaust, Aerodynamic modifications.
*Tires are unrestricted.
*Bumping is a part of racing, however intentionally wrecking another car is not, and will not be tolerated.
*With regards to corner cutting issues anything allowed in a license test will be allowed here.
*Any complaints with regards to somebody breaking the rules shall be sent via Personal Message on GTP to me and include what I should look for and what lap the incedent happened on, so I am sure to keep a close eye for it.
A first offense will most likely result in a warning, but if the outcome of the race is drastically altered, a points penalty can and will be handed out for a first offense.

Drivers' Championship:
The top 14 races from each driver will count toward the drivers' championship

Manufacturers' Championship:
All points recieved by each the top 3 drivers in a given race will count toward the manufacturers' championship

Points System:
1st 100 points
2nd 80 points
3rd 65 points
4th 55 points
5th 45 points
6th 35 points
7th 25 points
8th 20 points
9th 15 points
10th 10 points
11th 8 points
12th 6 points
13th 4 points
14th 3 points
15th 2 points
16th 1 point

Weight Penalty- top 3 finishers must add corresponding amount of weight for the next race:
1st- 30kg
2nd- 20kg
3rd- 10kg

Daytona Road Course: Winner- MLR_Carts43
High Speed Ring: Winner- MLD_MrLayVon
Cape Ring: August 5th 10 PM

Where are you located? You are correct about race mods, I edited the OP.
 
Would depend on day and time for me not sure where host is from?? but at this early stage im in with the BMW M3 also what tyres can we run cant see on the thread.👍

Also penalties during the race and damage level??
 
Why no Ferrari 430?

EDIT: If you allow the 430 (the standard one, not scuderia), I'm in.

I'm just outside Chicago. Like the OP states, dates and times are TBD. So far I'm thinking tires will be unlimited, but that may change. I don't like the sensitivity of the in race penalties, so those will be turned off. Damage will most likely be light, because I've had problems in the past where somebody with a bad connection has cost another person a race. Also unless we get more than 16 entries, there will be a two person per car limit.

My criteria for selecting the cars was V8 engine and 4 seats. I would like to have 8 car choices, because ideally there will be 2 of each car running each race and we can have both cars from the team accumulate points towards a manufacturer's championship. For now I'm going to say no Ferrari, but I may change that later. May I suggest the Maserati?
 
All sounds good to me happy with all those regs will keep an eye on your thread for times/dates etc.👍 Off to get an M3!! Are Aero parts allowed??

Dont suppose you have decided how many laps each race might be some tend to drag on for to long ima??

In the last series that I hosted, our races ran around 50 miles and that seemed to work well. So around 50 miles.
 
I've decided that I will run a Mustang.
 
Ok, I'm going with either the C63 or the XKR.

Why not make it 600hp just like Australian V8 Supercar Series?

The BMW maxes at 573, so I want to keep it pretty even, though I may bump it up from 532. No tire regulations as of right now.

As far as time, most races will probably be 9:30- 10:00 US Central time on Friday nights. So you want to run a Mustang?
 
You know it. Fords will be the underdogs in this one. But I think we can make it win.
 
Alright, we have 6 entries so far, if we go over 16 there will be backups for each team. I am going to increase the HP limit to either 575 or 600 based on the break in of the M3's engine. Weight minimum will probably increase to 1415 to even the playing field with the Challenger, and introduce a weight penalty for either podium or top 5 finishers.
 
I'm interested but with reservations. How do you plan to enforce the mods? We'll be using the power limited anyway, so why not max it out and de-tune it? Put me down for the jag for now, might change that after testing.

There will post season inspection for all cars, the only mod that I disallowed was turbo/supercharger because it can't be added to the BMW. I don't know why someone wouldn't want to do all the weight reduction to allow for more ballast.

You didn't mention intakes, drivertrain, manifolds, ecu, etc. You only mentioned the body stuff, engine, and no turbo. Just wasn't sure.

Anything that isn't mentioned is optional, the BMW will need everything to reach 573 before the break in, for the other cars if somebody wants to use it they can, if they don't want to they don't have to. Also I will post a new HP limit tomorrow.

Doesnt the corvettes have a V8. we could just dial back the hp and mess with the weight a bet to be with in spec

All the cars I picked are 4 seaters, Corvettes obviously aren't. Use a Camaro.
 
The horsepower and weight regulations have been updated. Max horsepower is now 591, minimum weight is now 1415 kg.
 
This sounds like a blast. I am in with a Lexus IS F '07.

Aero mods allowed.
