If someone who understands the UK F1 Television situation is here...

So I know that it's all broadcast on Sky, and that half the season is on BBC, but are the races on BBC just the Sky version, or is the BBC team doing the presentation and commentating???

Will I get my fix of Eddie Jordan and David Coulthard this year, or is all hope lost?

BBC does their own version still, yes.

The BBC take the footage from Sky and add their own commentary to it. They do not supply any extra footage of their own. They can't - as the primary broadcaster, Sky are the only ones allowed to brings camers to a race.

Sky doesn't bring cameras to the track, everyone in the world gets the same feed from Formula One Management.

Awesome, do you know who the commentators will be? (I assume Martin Brundle won't be commentating for BBC.)

No, the commentators are Ben Edwards and David Coulthard.

This thread is for discussion of the actual race. If you want to discuss the broadcast arrangement, please look here. We don't need a new discussion on who is broadcasting what and when every time there is a new race. Especially not fifteen minutes from the start of the race.

Good to see Jackie Stewart wearing the tartan trousers once again.

The rain!

Just had a CRAZY F1 dream. All were driving supercars, Schumacher was in the lead with a RUF CTR2, followed by a LP670 SV. :dunce:

Yay. Rain. This light drizzle will makes things interesting (slippery), just hope it doesn't pick up; I'm sure race control will be quick to call out the safety car if there's a downpour.
