2013 AutoCAD Architectural US Imperial Problem

So whenever I make custom windows in AutoCAD I can see them in all perspective views except for top view. The only way to see my windows from top view is to switch to Diagnostic view. What's wrong?

(I'm using the view "Medium Detail")
