Strangely, this summer break went by really quickly for me this time. Oh well, bring on the second half of the season! And early wild prediction for the win: Raikkonen

I'm looking forward to this jewel of a race. My friend is going down there this weekend and camping out. Didn't bother to tell me until after he booked it, I'm not jealous at all! :grumpy:

Anyway, this should be a great race as always, I'd imagine there'll be some rain at some point over the weekend, it'd be great if it was during the race which should spice things up. I'd say that it'll be the usual suspects doing well but I can't see Mercedes overcoming their tyre problems. I reckon Lewis or Nico for pole and (as much as I don't want to say this) probably a Vettel win. Kimi will most likely grab another podium.

Also for any Sky Sports customers wanting to get their Belgian GP fix, SSF1 has classic races on this week.

I'll be travelling to Germany on a coach while the race is on, so I'm gonna have to sit this one out.

I will attend on Saturday and Sunday, together with Poolhaas. Anyone else?

I root for Raikkonen!

I have money on Webber winning, but chances are I've just handed Ladbrokes £5. :grumpy:

I'm making a bold prediction: The Belgian Grand Prix will be the best race of the year by far with a surprise winner. 👍

Alonso will win. Comfortably. Right before they announce his moving to Mercedes-McLaren to replace Sergio Perez, who replaces Kimi at Lotus.

Alonso back at Mclaren

Read one of those articles Ferrari posts on Facebook, and apparently Alonso has never won at Spa during his F1 career (has come in 2nd though), but surprisingly Massa has. I'm sure a lot of you that have been watching F1 for years knew that but since I'm still relatively new, I didn't.

Interesting read if you dig Ferrari

Yes, Alonso has quite a poor record at Spa. He won't win this year either. Instead the race will be won by the reigning King of Spa.

Oh is it time already to make predictions that we will hold each other to in later pages come Sunday?

Spa's going to be the first race of the season that I'm not going to see live. :(

Rooting for Lewis Hamilton, as always.

It will be interesting to see how beneficial DRD is at Spa if Lotus and Mercedes are testing it again.

“We haven’t made a final decision yet as to whether it will be deployed,” said trackside operations director Alan Permane, “but we’ve been conducting a lot of simulation work with the concept to help clarify that decision and there’s a good chance we’ll see it make an appearance.”

That wasn't too long ago so we'll see. I expect the next two race will probably have it and then Singapore wont and maybe show up again at Korea or Japan.

It looks like people are going for a Kimi win, I expect him to be on podium not sure about the win.

I see Lewis getting two wins in a row. If Merc made their tyres work in Hungary they can make them work anywhere as Lewis said himself.

And they have experience with the new tyres and have had a long break since Hungary so hopefully things can only get better.

Lots of predictions about Kimi winning.
To win he would have to qualify to the pole or at least second or third or very front of the row.

I have no idea who would win the race after long pause.
I'm more interested how Grosjean will do and how possible investigations will turn bad for him, which they will.

But as always I'll watch the rave.

I don't think Kimi needs a front row start to win the race, he has shown a couple of times this year that he could win the race if team strategy didn't ruin him.

Well, it would make his job much easier.

In another news, 70% of the track is driven by full throttle.

Spa is one of the few Grand Prix I actually make a bother to watch as it always entertaining - it is on BBC?
