Gotta be conservative, I guess. Not worth stepping out of line alone to gain position.

On the bright side, at least some of the commercials are okay. I cracked up a bit at the Hamlin ones.

Guys, Carl Edwards is leading

Yep.

And remember that it's only 3:13. Last night's Nationwide race went all the way to around 8:30 and it still wasn't very dark, I'm sure that the race can continue despite a red flag condition.

Dumb NASCAR didnt start the race early. They knew it would get to halfway so they didnt care

There could be local noise ordinances that would prevent them from starting before noon on a Sunday.

Err no.

All the broadcasting and logistical schedules put the race start at 1pm ET. Heck they pushed pre-race ceremonies by 15 minutes to 12.45pm ET to compensate for any rain delay.

NASCAR has been known to try and make sure the Sprint Cup race is complete to 100% completion. Why? Because of viewing figures and TV ratings. Lots of daylight hours left and no reason why it should end here with just 'sprinkles in the north and south end.'

15 minutes early when its been known for days there would be thunderstorms all afternoon. Brilliant NASCAR. Thanks

If Edwards wins this due to a rain-shortened race, then Stenhouse just got cheated out of a win.
