What Ryan said. Why advertise a product that nearly everybody is aware of when you can advertise a new product, giving it recognition? Not that advertising big-name products doesn't have it's uses, of course.

I have issues with Sadler having few cup races period, not so much him I guess. It just seems like Gibbs could have used that sponsor to rub some like Wallace or Truex in the 18 for couple of race each with Mars sponsor because we all know Sadler didn't do much in cup so no need for 2nd rebirth of it either.

I blame that more on Mars then Gibbs. When was the last time they sponsored a non KBM team in the lower series?

Regan Smith's car is a mess. Even worse that it's sponsored by a brand of mayonnaise. That stuff is disgusting. :yuck:

Also, does anyone find it ironic that Clint Bowyer is driving the KFC car in the Bojangles' Southern 500?

Jeff Burton is a surprisingly good and refreshing commentator, he should consider it after he retires from racing.

Agreed, better than Rusty.

Matt just got pinched ;). I liked doing that to buttholes on the interstate. Pinching them behind a semi when they take forever to try to pass.

Which is why NASCAR should ban drivers from driving in lower tier series..... You should be allowed to move up, but not back down unless you're demoted by either NASCAR or your team. They'll figure it out once the TV ratings and attendance drop to even lower levels. :dopey:

Fact: The only series that saw an overall increase in ratings from 2011 to 2012 was the NASCAR Truck series. How many Cup drivers do you usually see there?

I laugh every time we have this argument, ever think it's more about just racing and getting comfortable at that track? There are other cup drivers who raced, Kahne can't win in Nationwide but can in Cup so who cares. It's been this way for longer than I've followed the series which is back in early 90s.

And nobody would show up, look at the trucks and ARCA. As it is, Kyle didn't get any points for his win.

The only reason I watched tonight's race was to see Kyle Larson. I want to see new young drivers fighting for the win..which they cant do if they have to face 6-7 Cup guys every week

Cup drivers need to race in Nationwide, but not every weekend. I say limit them to 10-12 races a year.

Cup races are just way too freaking long. All this hype to build up a race, the green drops, and then sunburn sets in for people at the race and nappy time sets in for people at home. At least the All Star Race is mixed up a bit. We live in an age of instant gratification and shortened attention spam, caused by all of the stimuli. NASCAR needs to change something. Nationwide and tricks races are significantly shorter, not a 4 hour event with the same 10 guys winning anyway.

They are slowly shortening the races(Both Fontana and Pocono have gone to 400 miles), I think the only ones that need to be over 400 miles are the Daytona 500 and Coca-Cola 600. I also think Bristol and Martinsville can be knocked down 100 laps even though they are currently only 266 mile races.

Trucks do just fine and if not better than nationwide most weekends. Rockingham was packed, Martinsville with decent crowd and Eldora sold out (granted it's because of the hype) but trucks could stand to be a tad longer like 150 laps vs 100 (just random number) while Cup can shorten to 300-400 laps or miles depending easily for most of not more.

When is Eldora?

I want to say mid June off top of my head, I really can't remember. I'm interested in it to see just how it unfolds but overall I really think it's a joke, I would prefer somewhere like Darlington (bring K&N), Myrtle Beach, Greensville-Pickens, or something more fitting to a degree.

Pocono needs to be taken away, and I'm sure a few others. If you can't tell, I think Pocono is a crappy track itself, it will be awesome for indycar but that's it.

Agreed, there are several tracks that need to be cut back to once a year or done with altogether. Especially the cookie cutter tracks that are virtually the same exception a different city. Why NASCAR hasn't utilized the road course at Daytona is dumfounding! IROC raced there many many moons ago. NASCAR needs to mix up the whole thing. Going back to The Rock would be welcomed by fans. Going to Rusty's track in Iowa would be nice too!

I went to Rockingham for first time this year, what a great track all together BUT to get cup there again, it needs a good bit of updating. Mainly consessions, added nicer scoring tower but that's biggest thing I really saw.

My favorite tracks to visit have been Rockingham, Martinsville, Darlington and Daytona. Atlanta sucked for being in person, Charlotte is overly crowded with fair racing.

The last race that needs shortening is either Bristol or Martinsville. The nothing Bristol is more or less dead; even if you didn't like what happened that August night last year, you have to admit it was the most insane race of the year (With the notable and understandable exception of the DayJetDryer 500). Martinsville almost always has a good race.
