You...have got...to be kidding. Please tell me this is just a really bad joke.

I see nothing in that article about his wife making a new stock car organization.
If that is her intention, it won't work, simply because the ISC won't let the organization run races at their tracks, and I doubt any big time owners would jump ship to it.
Honestly, the only way the thing even gets off the ground is if Bruton Smith jumps ship....... which is very possible, because he's senile enough to do it.

Hopefully he does, think of it this way, picture a NASCAR with a pissed off Brian France without the following tracks Atlanta, Charlotte, Kentucky, Las Vegas, New Hampshire & Texas. Next to no 1.5 milers

Wait you mean there is a GOD? :dunce: Media cracks me up most of the time with the stories they come up with!

On the flipside, imagine NASCAR without Bristol or Sonoma.
It would be interesting if Charlotte would be gone from NASCAR. Charlotte is not 20 minutes from 90% of all NASCAR teams shops, and a stones throw away from the Hall of Fame. NASCAR would have to move the All-Star race (And the last time they did that was a disaster), and the Cup series would lose one of its final roots (The very first Cup race was on a dirt track in Charlotte).

If NASCAR left Charlotte it would be in my eyes the equivalent of the NFL not having the Dallas Cowboys, NBA not having the Boston Celtics, or MLB not having the New York Yankees.

Where does it say she's going to make a rival series? Wait, forgot who posted this, so..........

I should have put "I believe wife has intentions of taking half his money then creating a new stock car organization to rival NASCAR." It makes perfect sense, since the france family are billionaires.

Why would she do that? And its not as simple as that. Explain in point by point detail why it should make sense.

Ahh nice to see Tony wearing the black and orange again, very reminiscent of the old Home Depot days.

Please don't post speculation on something that doesn't even exist.

ok

What's champ car? Is that like a nationwide version of indy car?

Basically, in the late 1990s, the series that's now IndyCar broke off from CART. This split hurt both series, and CART became ChampCar before it and the IRL merged back together in 2009. A breakaway series like in your idea wouldn't be good for racing as a whole.
