Actually, the 33 is now a RCR car after RCR acquired all of the KHI Nationwide assets. It does however maintain RCR connection with Max Papis as he's been the one coaching the Dillons on Road Courses.

So typical, thanking an imaginary friend when Tony did all the work.
If Tony would just stick to what his high dollar sponsors are paying him for (NASCAR's Cup Series), there probably wouldn't have been a wreck to begin with.
Kinda silly to think that meanwhile Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson are doing the same thing. Even you know wrecks can happen in ANY race so to somehow state that this wreck would never have happened if he weren't there (meanwhile months ago, we had a driver killed in a race he wasn't at) is abit off.
Except Tony is an old fart.
Since when did 42 become the new age of being declared an "Old fart"?
So your basically telling me is he's too damn old? There's Ken Schrader & Dave Blaney (both of whom are far older) and they are still racing in those.
This would be a great time for NASCAR to use those rain tires.
But no.. we don't want our precious Sprint Cup drivers to get wet....
Also, there's been more drivers killed in Sprint Car races this year that Stewart hasn't been in compared to the 0 that have been killed in races Stewart has been in.
BTW, James Hylton is still racing as well and I think he's older than Shepard.

Are you being sarcastic? Usually I find you have better insight but that is not why rain tires are not being used.
Oh and supposedly Morgan is the oldest to start a sprint cup race. ARCA (which I don't watch) doesn't count so though Hylton is older... Either way your point is valid since he is racing a powerful car.
Yes, sarcasm.
NASCAR should look into testing the Cup cars with rain tires now.. well not right now, but at some point. The new car is lighter and should handle them better.
Yeah that still doesn't change the issues they face with banking changes on a tread tire.

What does "Banking changes" have to do with Watkins Glen, or any road course?
So they spend tons of money for two races in the season? I was thinking that he was talking about more than that. IF not, then it becomes apparent why they stick to the old system due to a many or none attitude.
And yet Nationwide has only three Road courses (which also don't make up the majority of the schedule and are all in the US so no "Too expensive to fly overseas" excuse there) but they have fully developed rain tires. To me, there is just no excuse for the Cup Series to continue this. Both their lower series have far more variety then they do.
Nationwide Series cars are heavier than the Cup Cars now that the Gen-6 is out. Previously they were both 3400lbs.
Ok, so Penske racing has for the first time this season bought three cars to a Nationwide race. Which includes:
Sam Hornish Jr (#12 Penske Truck Rental Ford)
Brad Keselowski (#22 Hertz Ford)
Joey Logano (#48 Discount Tire Ford)
My question is what exactly would motivate Roger Penske to now bring out a third car?
Ready for some NASCAR road racing? Watkins Glen will be abuzz with Nationwide and Cup racing on the former F1 United States Grand Prix venue. Some people even think NASCAR should race the full course and not the shortened stock car one. What do you think about that?
Anyhow, good luck to all drivers and teams this weekend in upstate New York.
