I wonder if Michael Waltrip is considering firing Ty Norris now. That's a substantial amount of money to lose because of a "split-second decision".

Aarons is not in a good position to leave right now, they just signed a new agreement that doesn't start until next season.
5 Hour isn't resigned for next year and they've tweeted they're "re-evaluating" their MWR sponsorship, so I'd say there's about a 50/50 chance of 5 Hour not resigning.

If a team doesn't perform the way a sponsor wants them to, be it performance or conduct, they have the right to void the contract. They aren't ironclad deals.

I can't blame them BUT it's kind of weird that they bailed on the whole team over that but not earlier over some other stuff. Eh I don't see them giving up on the sport though.

My theory on why Gordon was put in (or part of the reason) was so Jeff wouldn't be out to wreck Bowyer every race in the Chase and ruin Clint's championship run.

EDIT: Mikey's such a swell guy, he will "let" Truex leave MWR if he wants to. Most likely it's because he otherwise will have to pay for Truex's team out of his own pocket.

Kinda reminds me of when Reuity left the team, Waltrip offered him to up and leave in spite of having another year on his contract. Long story short, David was mad at Waltrip for other reasons and decided it would be easier to keep racing somewhere else then sit on the sidelines for a year having to deal with Waltrip.

They're going to do whatever to say that it isn't, but last time I checked, teams don't typically do official photo shoots with unofficial cars, and with the driver in a matching firesuit and helmet. If it was a test, it would have been a render.
