Is Bayne a 'good' driver? Yes

Is he great? No. You have to be consistently good over time to be great...

So? Mark Martin has the most wins.

Like I said, my opinion. Screw your championships.

If you go by the logic of wins > championships, then that means that Cale Yarborough and Darrell Waltrip were better than Dale Earnhardt.

You people say "greatest Nationwide driver" like it's a good thing. All it means was the person wasn't good enough to cut it in the big leagues or was much more experienced and was capable of beating a few less skilled drivers. Take Frank Kimmel for instance, he has 75 wins and 9 championships in the ARCA series, really he only got that many because he wasn't good enough to go further.

Already posted. ;)

Where because I all I see is yet another BS conversation with you know who.

The vibe I got from his response was that as long as they are safe on track he doesn't care.

This. I don't why everyone thinks he was "Approving of it", hell he said himself its no big deal.

If Jr. does have PETA on his car, I hope he doesn't participate in their "Rather be naked than in fur" promotion.

For the guys that drove NW/Busch/Grand National series in the 80s and 90s, it really could be that they were better on the small short tracks that littered the schedule, like Hickory and Myrtle Beach, and not as good on the larger tracks. Those local short tracks are now all gone, and the schedule is just a toned-down Sprint Cup schedule, running almost all of the same tracks.

:scared:

That being said, they should fit the Porsche pig scheme on the open races now.

Edit: If I win the powerball I'm totally doing that.

If I remember correctly, the whole reason the Busch series started was because Cup was getting too big for tracks such as Myrtle Beach.
Kinda different now, I guess........

I don't want PETA to "sponsor" his car because some people and I got in a huge argument with them over our Facebook pages about Pokemon. But thats a story for another time....and thread.

You guys will not believe who of all people have sent a letter to Dale Jr. Read this:

And here's the twist: They aren't paying to sponsor him

It's going to happen because Rick Hendrick loves animals.

No but he is considered one of the all-time greatest Daytona 500 champions ever and should be a threat for the ol' harley this year! Ford is gonna destroy em all at the plate tracks!

No, it's not...(would also like to see where you get he likes animals)

If he makes a charity people actually like pay(AARP Drive to End Hunger), why would he give a charity most people hate free advertising space?

You also have to remember the main demographic of NASCAR fans, a large amount are from red states and enjoy hunting, who knows what would happen if PETA was on a car let alone Earnhardt's.

Edit: Also, I doubt PETA even cares, they already got the reaction and attention they were seeking by this move.

(would also like to see where you get any of this stuff you continually spout)

Fixed because I'm pretty sure everyone feels the same way.

This.

I only trust media reporters when their followers are greater in number then who they are following on Twitter.

Whoa...This is a big surprise! What's up with HMS and sponsorship anyway??

Alright, stop and think for a moment.

Why on earth would an "anonymous" source go to some website who 99.9% of people have never heard of?

Let me know when it's on Jayski.

I only trust media reporters when their followers are greater in number then who they are following on Twitter.

This as well.

Looking at that site again, they actually have an article saying Scott Pruett should be in the NASCAR Hall of Fame :yuck:

He is not considered one of the best Daytona 500 champions ever. He one in an era where luck reigns supreme in plate track racing.

And the fords sucked at winter testing all around. The toyotas are going to be hard to beat, Especially the JGR cars. RCR and Danica has shown some speed too.:sly:

well The Grand-Am Series is sanctioned by NASCAR... Just saying...
1. NASCAR leaves them alone for the most part, and just allows them to do their own thing.
2. There is nothing sports car/Grand Am related in the Hall of Fame whatsoever.

This. People need to understand that just because its under the same umbrella doesn't mean it automatically mean its entirely confined to NASCAR, period.

Well bowyer and Tony must be really lucky at these tracks then.

He's one of the greatest 500 champs because he did it at such a young age. Do you know what that win did to his L-word? He's gonna be unstoppable when he starts driving the legendary #6 which was Mark Martin's L**** under the umbrella of roush yates racing.

I'm guessing some small time blogger noticed that Jimmie's sponsorship goes through 2013 and immediately assumed Lowe's wasn't continuing sponsorship beyond this year....

I guess Ambrose and Kyle Busch won't have sponsors next year either.

What in the world are you even remotely talking about?
