I'm calling it right now, Jeff Gordon wins his 4th Daytona 500 and gloriously ties Cale Yarborough in 500 rings!
I'll go with a first time winner. Hint rookie and sitting on the pole!:sly::crazy::sly:

Not gonna happen.

Danica related question, how did Tommy Baldwin Racing get the #7? Did Robby just not want Danica to have it or what?

Yes, I am a bit behind but I don't recall any mention of this.

LOL! If that's true, it's just showing how much Danica is disrespected in the racing community. :p

Not true.

Robby doesn't own the number 7, and not that it would matter since he's out of the sport for good.

I think TBR applied for #7 to honor Tom Baldwin and Robby granted the use of the number to them (also because he's not running the series anymore but I have no idea why he'd still have the number.)

Is it bad that I find the Harlem Shake videos far more acceptable then the "NASCAR style" video?

I know(I was relieved when he announced it), and I am versed in the NASCAR number system as I've had to relay how it works to my father and his side of the family at least twice every season since about 2003(and they still don't get it). Still, I guess if she had wanted it all that bad, SHR would have gotten it for her, right?

Or its possible that TBR applied for the number 107 and SHR didn't so when RGM went out TBR got it.

Robby had nothing to do with it.

The only numbers licensed out by a team that aren't in use are the 3 and the 28.

Numbers are owned and assigned by NASCAR, teams can request a number and hold the license

Right below the unassigned numbers for 2013.

Not at all, the Harlem Shake videos got a chuckle out of me, this just got me lowering my head and shaking it.

Anyone watching Speed Channel right now? The Whelen Modified Series is racing on a makeshift short track around Daytona, utilizing part of the backstretch to set up this makeshift short track. I was interested in this event since I would fail to see how the Modifieds would take on the entire Daytona track. But, the whole thing has some yellow lines and tire barriers. Pretty interesting. There have also been a lot of cautions so far- including one as I type this reply. I think this is the what, sixth or seventh caution with about 35 laps complete?

Daytona Speedweeks. Gotta love it.

[UPDATE] It was the 5th Caution with about maybe 39 laps complete. And... it's the 6th Caution as of this update. The race distance is 150 laps, and it's about somewhere in the 41-45 lap range right now.

Maybe its just me, but wouldn't it have been easier to have used the bus stop? There's the added challenge of the curbs, I think it would have been a really nice and unique twist to this event.

Harlem Shake is a half minute long random but fun bit designed to parody.
Gangnam Style is a 4 minute long random just to be random music video not designed to parody.

And Larson has just been turned into the wall. Can we say Karma?

Aww man, Larson won't get to wreck anyone now.

EDIT: Congrats to Steve Park, good to see him win something. I started following NASCAR in '03, and he didn't do too hot that year.

And for the second night in a row, the winner is the guy that taps the bumper of the leader. However, this was a domino effect so my respect for Steve Park still remains.
