They are all very similar, and take up a very large portion of the schedule, especially among the final ten races where the championship is decided.

Because of this, they are all panned and hated reguardless of the quality of racing they put up. Hence the derogitory term "cookie cutter" and my endless hatred of it.

Some drama, some high-speed records to be broken, and hopefully no more blown Ford engines.

But then again . . . anything can happen.

Keselowski's passing everyone like they're standing still... that's one fast racecar.

Gordon may be lucky to finish anywhere near the top 10 today. He's not running fast enough.

210 mph in race trim

Isn't that amazing? :) Isn't that just amazing?

I came off from watching the IndyCar opener at St. Petersburg a few minutes ago - and after the point and squirt, point and squirt, the sudden change to ultra-high speed flying around like particles in an accelerator is unnerving. The fact that they are racing millimeters away from each other for extended periods does not make it any less relaxing.

Long greens won't be unusual here.

Caution for something. Good job FOX in not breaking back to the race to inform us!

Just came over from watching the Indycar race (Great finish there), hoping this race is as good as the Nationwide race now that we are watching a field of race cars and not bricks with wheels.

It's sort of ironic when you think Roger Penske helped build this racetrack, and nearly 14 years ago newly signed Penske driver Greg Moore died here before even racing for the Captain...

Edit: Well, that was a whole 3 minutes of green flag racing/broadcast.

The racing is pretty good so far!

Even looks good . . . eye candy to please any race/car lover's heart.
I was becoming increasingly concerned - nay, downright miffed - at the way the 'production' or 'stock car' look of the cars was gradually disappearing under the homolog-poison of NASCAR regulations. To have the cars equalised is a great move towards competitive racing, but to lose the production look took over from the 'everyman spectator' feeling of NASCAR - where you would see your car win on Sunday, and drive it to work on Monday.
The cars look different enough now to really differentiate manufacturers.
In the end it's the reputation of the marques, and what the teams can do with what the manufacturers offer, is what it's all about.

My next car could very well be a Ford Fusion.
But only if the engines stop blowing up. ;)

Joey - Man on a mission. Bolting to get his nuts back on top.

Dang . . gotta leave for a moment - hope I don't miss much. :sly:

BBS.

Was I the only one that briefly thought Hammond was on that line right above the track?

Why does NASCAR run NASCAR commercials during a NASCAR race?:dunce:

Seems it would be more fitting to just show the actual racing more.💡

NASCAR doesn't play the commercials. FOX does. FOX pays how many millions(billions?) to show NASCAR, they need so many ads to pay for it.
