I will miss Fox.

DW did start to annoy me, not with the Boogity boogity, but with how he assumed the role of head Danica butt kisser.

I will miss Larry Mac's total butchery of the English language though.

I won't miss the hillbilly twins for one second. Every year it seems they've lowered their IQ more and more to appeal to the audience, which has resulted in horrible abominations of the English language such as "bad fast", "woed up", and Larry's endless mispronunciations of words with l's in them.

And while I will personally miss the 'hillbilly twins' (as you like to call them), it was still annoying to hear DW endlessly say, 'a whale of a(n) <insert word here>.'

I will not miss DW. Love him to death, but the guy can't call a race to save his life. Ever since my dad mentioned it, I can't unhear him. He never adds anything to races, he re-iterates what other people are saying, and he's too-far retired to add any insight into the current drivers perspective.

On the flip side, Rick Allen (One of SPEED's NASCAR guy's who covers the Truck Series and other SPEED NASCAR events). Is one of the best announcers I've heard. He's good at marketing the teams (mentioning sponsors in subtle ways), has a clear voice, and seems to actually have insight into the paddock. He's easily one of the best play-by-play announcers I've heard on a NASCAR event.

Dude made me spit up my drink when I was watching one of the truck series races from a year ago he's that good.

I'm sad to see the switch because now I can't watch the races on TV anymore. :(

EXACTLY!!!!!

I LOATH this time of the year because 100% of TNT races you have to pay to see and 90% of ESPN races are the same. Do you think I really enjoy paying $150 a month just for TV? FRACK NO!!! Two Hoppers, 2 Joeys, America's 250, HBO, Starz, Showtime, Blockbuster @Home does come a price though, grrrr

I was mooching off the local channels with an antenna.

That's actually the best HD picture you can get for TV! My old DVR's had antenna inputs which even added another slot for recording. The Hopper has a separate unit for OTA that uses USB and my slots are being used. Plus, I'm not going to pay for it!

I was thinking to myself last night, there needs to be a cable company that offers TV packages with only channels you want. You just go through their list, pick out which ones you want, they put the package together with pricing per channel and bam.....no unnecessary channels. They would make a killing.

Come to Finland, you won't have to pay to view TNT and ESPN channels and there are only, like, 2 commercial breaks in the whole race (both lasting a minute or less). :)

Of course the channel where we get to see the races isn't totally free either, but it'll last you for the entire season, and - as it currently seems - the next ones too.

Do you guys have Premier Sports in Finland like the UK does? I haven't got it yet but intend to as soon as I have moved house later this month. NASCAR with no commercials is a great thing.

Same here, at least NBC was nice enough to put the F1 finale on network TV unlike ESPN is doing with NASCAR. I really hope NBC gets the races ESPN does as they seem to view racing as more than dollar signs.

Well, there's the alternative of the internets via that one guy on youtube who records all of the races (entirely and without commecials 👍)

Yeah. Loved that they showed the Monaco GP on NBC, was good for the first time to watch all of the big three Memorial day races entirely on Network television instead of hoping while out that someone has that same channel on their Provider 👍

That's what I've been thinking. It really feels like they give a damn about racing instead of just having it just to fill a certain quota or space.

I wish it went back to how it was circa 2001 with a few changes

NBC/FOX Split year

Odd numbered years Fox gets 1-17, even years Fox gets 2-18. All Nationwide races in that time are shown on Fox Sports 1/NBC Sports Network.

All of Daytona Speedweeks is shown on the bigger network that is airing it

Watching the Truck race right now, Sauter and Dillon had abit of a moment there in Turn 3 & 4
