Still on the subject of Danica, Morgan Shepard would probably beat her in tomorrow's race if he wasn't in a start-and-park ride. 👍 On the mere thought of her posing nude, :scared:  :yuck:.

Danica Patrick for some reason appeared on my list of reccomended pages to like on Facebook. I did the decent thing and ignored her, but then I noticed Dale Jnr and a couple others showing... so I thought "Why not see who is most popular on FB?"

Results as follows!

Dale Jnr 1,568,049
Johnson 687,404
Gordon 542,638
Stewart 540,322
Danica 451,186
Edwards 231,704
Dale Snr 195,904
Kahne 191,711
Kyle 146,755
Newman 142,561
Montoya 107,936
Harvick 78,930
Kenseth 30,082
Kurt 13,339
Nemechek 8,949

Really good start. To be honest I enjoy watching the modified races more than cup races. A lot more passing and they stay much closer together. Too bad they don't have the popularity they deserve. Great battle for the lead right now.

Best of luck to all racers this weekend. NASCAR Trucks will rock Iowa while Nationwide and Cup will try to make the "Boring Mile"... well, magical. Midwest and Northeast NASCAR loving. Got to love it.

Some are fan pages, some are organisational run pages and some are actual pages so not tremendously reliable.

8,000 of those fans are just duplicate Facebook accounts of Ganon's.

Also, Roush is interested in Newman.

AND Ford's Jack Roush, who has a three-car operation that could easily expand back to four, said he was interested in talking with Newman about the situation. Roush said he would be interested in hiring Newman if there were sufficient sponsorship. Newman has some sponsorship himself. A plus for Roush is that Newman is an engineer like Roush. And depending on what Matt Borland, Newman's current crew chief, decides to do, that could also be a plus for Roush. Borland was also Newman's crew chief during his years with Roger Penske.(MikeMulhern.net) (7-13-2013)

Newman back in the 6? Outback, Quicken Loans and perhaps Army chipping in. I for one would love to see a regular UPS car back out there. Or maybe they'll just slap on Ford Ecoboost in-house sponsorship for a bunch of races too.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Why do you insist on adding an "n" to the abbreviation of "junior?"

Kyle Busch wins, like always.

Marty Reid fails at commentary, like always.

Is the reaction when Kyle Busch wins a nationwide race necessary every time?

I really wish they'd do more to keep Sprint Cuppers out of Nationwide. It's not fair to the people in Nationwide and not fair to the smaller people in Sprint Cup.

I bet we'd see more winners in either series if we just outright banned cross-series racing. Or at the very least made it so you can't earn any points OR money from winning the other. I'd prefer just outright banning the practice.

Only problem with that: Ticket sales.

I'm not saying its the only reason Nationwide is still here, but its hard not to credit their appearance selling the tickets.

So people can't express their distaste with a certain driver winning?

Where am I saying you can't? I only questioning the need to do it everytime, same with when he wins a Cup race (the ones he should be winning) or when Jimmie Johnson wins. I'm mean nothing personal, I just think you focus way too much on what is to you the negative and not at the positives. So Brian Vickers didn't win the race like I wanted him to, sucks but at least he's gaining in the points (far more then he has been this season) 👍

I get it, you don't like both drivers (not the biggest fan of Kyle myself) but the reactions just seem unnecessary. I just think there's a better way to react, perhaps not when they wreck a driver you like for that win but there's a better way.

Trucks: Good to see Steve Wallace back, I know people didn't like him ( I know I myself was kinda hard on him), but he's been improving. Nice save on his qualifying lap.

Cup and Nationwide tickets are usually sold together as a weekend package. Ticket sales aren't an issue.

Let me rephrase that then: Cup drivers are a major draw for attendance. When I look at the crowds for a Nationwide race with no cup drivers in comparison to the usual appearance of the Cup drivers, they don't seem as packed. Of course hilariously, We have Cup races just as near empty

I see your point. Sorry about being on the hostile side of things.
