Let me rephrase that then: Cup drivers are a major draw for attendance. When I look at the crowds for a Nationwide race with no cup drivers in comparison to the usual appearance of the Cup drivers, they don't seem as packed. Of course hilariously, We have Cup races just as near empty

True, although I like it.

I go with my dad to both Nationwide and Cup races at Chicagoland and Daytona (500).

The Nationwide races are great, we usually have the whole row to ourselves so plenty of room to spread out, plus it's easy to exit quickly. And we don't care if there are Cup driver's in the race or not. :)

If Nationwide drivers want to make a name for themselves, they need to race against the Cup guys and beat them.

Even if the Cup drivers weren't racing in Nationwide at all, people would just find something else to complain about. They always have, and always will find a reason to gripe about something. My guess is that the hostility and whining would shift to JGR/Roush/Penske winning everything with their Cup-owner's huge R&D budgets and how it's not fair to the smaller teams that only run in the feeder leagues.

Nobody complains of the same thing in Cup, and how only about 5 teams have a consistent shot at winning.

Really? I've seen people complain that only Hendrick (+SHR)/JGR cars have a real chance to win every single week, discounting the still legitimate chances that Penske/Roush/RCR (+FRR)/MWR drivers have most weekends, and completely ignoring the longshot odds of EGR/RPM/FRM (unless it's a plate track or road course).

Of course, most of that is true to some point, but that doesn't mean it deserves complaining.

There is alot of things that go into why Cup guys run Nationwide. The thing today is we see it be more of Cup guys winning at that level but equipment is alot different than than it was 10-20 years ago.

Sponsors want a cup guy in for x amount of races to put a brand with a face compared to someone no one knows or has very little public appeal yet, so that helps get younger guys in to a better ride sometimes to have a chance.

Hendrick, Roush, RCR, Penske, JGR, MWR.

If you either don't drive for these teams or for teams affiliated with them, you are never going to win in Cup for at least the next 3 years.

Initially, but they got it to pass.

After all of this, I'm gonna laugh up a storm if they win and pass post-race inspection on their first try. The haters will be everywhere.

Why's he in the back?

Sandy, you're not a Walmart employee, you have too much energy! Zombies have more enthusiasm that Walmart employees, in general.

His qualifying time was disallowed after the car failed post-qualifying inspection for being too low. This was also after it had initially failed pre-qualifying inspection.

Now Ambrose hits the wall.

EDIT: He didn't hit the wall, Harvick spun him and it also collected Casey Mears.

Can't wait to hear people saying 'The only reason all these wrecks are happening is so Jimmie can get to the front.' :p

The only reason all these wrecks are happening is so Jimmie can...

Damn it Storm, I was just gonna complain like that

Is that so? Granted it was a plate track but pretty sure FRM just did a 1-2!
