Well. That was disappointing. But kudos for Kahne it was about damn time they got one!

Which driver is everyone here going to cheer for when Jeff retires? For a while, I thought that was going to be Regan Smith, but he fell out of the Sprint Cup series.

Kyle Busch has always been my 2nd favorite, but I'm thinking Chase Elliott (Once he makes it up to Cup)

That's debatable.

Mistake #1: Choosing the inside lane on the restart.
Mistake #2: Floating the car into turn 1
Mistake #3: Floating the car into turn 2

Jeff didn't have the win taken away. He plain and simply got outdrove.

And admitted himself he got simply outdriven.

Did Kahne lift in turn 2? It looked like he just ran away from the field after that. It was a pretty good race, though, despite the 48 showing that it's still better than everyone else. Not surprised the 24 and 5 were so close though, as they run out of the same shop, as do the 48 and 88 but we know why that one isn't as close.

I honestly think he never did. Just looks like he threw it in there and it stuck.

I already moved from the Jeff camp to the Allmendinger camp a few years ago.

I'm actually surprised that this many people on GTP cheer for Gordon. :dopey:

Jeff Gordon was the only reason I really cared for NASCAR when I first became a racing fan around 1998. His appeal brought me into NASCAR much like the late Colin McRae brought me to rally racing. Who to cheer on when Jeff Gordon hangs it up? I'm not sure to be honest. I'm expecting a negative reaction or a loss of respect (even though an opinion is an opinion), but I'd probably look to Jimmie Johnson or Carl Edwards once Jeff Gordon retires. I wouldn't have too many Cup drivers to cheer on and regard highly except maybe Tony Stewart, and I used to dislike Tony Stewart.

Okay, let the hate on me begin!

To me, I have a compilation of drivers to pull for when Jeff retires. What also matters is when he retires so I can pick a driver from the lineup of the next season. If he were to retire right now, I'd pick Aric Almirola, Martin Truex Jr., or Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Jeff Gordon was a guy I started following early on since I started getting into the sport about the time he got his Hendrick ride but I don't really follow him anymore (granted I respect him far more than most guys).

I think I'm in the minority as a Jimmie Johnson fan.. Jeff has always been my guy though.

I've been a Jeff Gordon fan since I first started watching NASCAR. I can't even begin to think who I might pick after he retires. It would probably be Brad Keselowski. Before he was in NASCAR he raced at my local track since he was a young kid. So I've gotten to meet him and talk with him personally before he left for NASCAR. If not I might pick Eric Jones if/when he makes it to the top level. Eric Jones also used to race at my local. 👍

I'm already looking forward to Kyle Larson running in Cup in a few years, not that I'm a Gordon fan. :sly:

I don't cheer for Gordon, I just accept he is there. Since I am and Earnhardt senior fan from the early 90s you get the point...

I'm fine with Jeff and if all the other drivers I support were out of the chance to win and he was up against a Bush brother, Biffle, Harvick, Hamlin and so on I'd cheer him on for the win.

When Gordon decides to retire, I already have other drivers to pull for such as Kenseth, Hamlin, and Earnhardt Jr. (just wished he tried harder). 👍 Anyways, Stewart has to secretly be kicking himself for signing "Crashica" Patrick, even though she unfortunately has sponsorship. :dunce:

Well Tony got sponsored by Danica's primary, GoDaddy yesterday so I'm sure he personally is reaping the advantages. Not sure about Gene Haas though.
