What happened here? seems like we got about 2/3 of the way through, and the tires have gone to butter. Everyone is sliding around now.

Sucks. I was hoping Mark would go for broke. Didn't he go in the same as Logano? I only caught last 30 laps of the race.

Let's face it, if Jeff Gordon makes the Chase it would be a miracle.

I'm putting down Joey Logano and Ryan Newman to take the two wild card spots. Kahne will move into the top 10 as Kurt Busch falls out.

I was really hoping Kurt could finally get a win for Furniture Row, but seeing Logano win for Penske was fine with me.

@Mule

Joey will probably end his career with 2 championships and 40+ wins. Brad will probably end his career with 3 or more championships and 70+ wins. That ESPN commercial proved that Jimmie has passed the torch to Brad.

A commercial proves nothing :odd:

Sure it did

Petty ----> Earnhardt ----> Gordon ----> Johnson ----> Keselowski

I wonder who brad is going to pass the torch to next?

I hope not back to Johnson because even though i don't want him to Johnson will probably win a few more championships.

I think his golden horseshoe has been polished off at this point, he "might" when another one but I think there are too many guys now who are running strong in the chase as we saw him slip the last 2 years.

Mark stopped a pit stop before everyone else, IIRC.

That has been the story of his career, close, but no cigar. :indiff: Once again I saw that it was impossible to drive up through traffic due to the heavy dependence on aero and the hard tires. 👎

There is a deal in the works for Kurt Busch to move to Stewart-Haas Racing starting next year.

Oh dear, all those guys under one roof. Maybe they all will put Danica in her place :lol:

If that happens I will lose all respect for Stewart...👎:grumpy:
Still sour over Newman's Exit I'm guessing, or still don't like Kurt Busch? (assuming you never did in the first place)

And with Mark Martin taking over the #14 for the rest of the year, I think SHR is going all out for all 3 drivers to be in the chase next year, assuming Kurt accepts the offer.

No, if Kurt moves, they're expanding to 4. Basically, this a giant middle finger to Newman
