123 taken off track according to gpsat flanzgarten

If you go back to the blog post from the GTAcademy ROI & UK final last year, you'll see a photo of me in my Gulf-ripoff shirt getting a bottle of champagne. That was for a combined aggregate time in the 370Z Tuned/Motegi race and a real 350Z GT4ish (stripped, caged, electronics disabled) motorcross test in the Silverstone car park. I won, John Hindhaugh was 3rd :D

He's a good guy. You know how mental he sounds on RLM? Well he is. Exactly that mental. Getting into the 350Zs we all had an instructor alongside us and his (and mine) was Rob Barff. The last thing I heard him say was "Alright Barffy? Ready for the worst ten minutes of your life?". Then followed donuts.

Manta on track 👍 6th in class[/QUOTE]

I've just gotten up a few minutes ago, what happened to 007?

Dropped from the lead to tail of the lead lap in the wet at the restart. Started to come back up now due to drying track and other retirements.

"And now he's spreading dirt all over the racing line. Great clods of earth from a great clod behind the wheel."

That dive up the inside was daft.

Oh well, at least there's 3 Mercedes at the front!

Yea, and it was really lame that no one went to push the Clio back to the track.

They might have done and we never saw it.

👍

They would deserve the win, since it would be their first 24h Nürburgring overall victory.

I guess anything goes on the Ring....like RLM was saying, it was the most blatant avoidable contacts ever.

Yeah, I imagine they did do, I just think since the Clio was the victim of that incident, it was a little unfair to leave the driver waiting whilst they got the Audi back on track.

Plus I'm a massive fan of the SLS, lets just hope they can hold it together for just a little bit longer.

Exactly.

This is some exceptional race coverage at times. I really wanted an interview with some ruddy-faced old man instead of flat out overtakes through Bergwerk.

Edit: And heavy rain now apparently at Adenauer-Forst

"Save money by building your car out of gaffer tape instead of carbon fiber, because it'll look the same at the end."

"To prevent punctures, don't fill your tires with air or nitrogen, fill them with more tires."

RLM is awesome!!

Don't recall seeing wackier race coverage than this!:dunce:

There must be 50+ cameras to chose from so I guess it isn't an easy job, but I agree why would you cut away from a battle to see a car getting fueled in the pits :grumpy:

What did they say the Focus ST reminded him off? A travel iron it sounded like.

At least we got good tips on how to save money both on tyres and building cars. :dunce:
