While I still don't agree with the people saying the Shelby 1000 is just a Mustang with a few mods, this truck is just stupid. It looks like a normal Raptor with some aftermarket stickers.

Ah yeah, what's the point of it again?

Status points, duh. You don't want to be seen riding around in a plain old Raptor do ya? :sly:

Seriously though, the regular Raptor gets enough attention as it is. This one has way too many stickers.

I'd buy one if the mods are actually worth the extra dough, but I'd remove the stickers. Hopefully there is Still some warranty

It's dumb that they didn't do anything to make it look different, it would have been way better if they changed the grille and front/rear bumpers to give it its own look. The vinyls are just like the ones that came with the regular Raptor.

Here's the 2nd new prototype.

I like them both really. Both look good. Though I'm not sure I like the rack on it without overhead forward facing KC lights.

All that second version is missing is a giant Red Bull can on the bed.

Not remotely anywhere near the same.

You're comparing the rebadging of the same car for different international markets to a truck that comes directly off the factory as a Ford vehicle first & only. This Shelby Raptor is all aftermarket & not an actual production car, thus it's VIN will always be registered as a Ford.

It's a name given to a parts package in the same way Hennessey designates their Vipers as Venoms; still a Dodge Viper.

It was the same way with the original Shelby Mustangs. BUt that started to taper of in 1969 when Ford started getting involved.

I suppose this would be Shelby's first off-road vehicle? Or a first serious attempt at one?

I like the look of it, extra $17k is a bit pricy but rich bas***ds with more money than sense will still buy them.

I agree its a bit pricey but from what I've been hearing the underneath is an entirely new animal, nothing even close to the original Raptor.

Sounds like it would be the perfect vehicle for a zombie apocalypse.

Nothing on that list will change the Raptor in any significant way.

And Whiskers is most definitely right. $17K buys you a supercharger, exhaust, & some fancy badges? This package is a money milking rip off.

And if you happen to be one of the biggest morons on earth & actually buy damn near every option ($35K worth), you just gave Shelby $52K in parts, more than the actual value of the truck.
