I thought that the Mercedes 2014 nose was illegal because of the mounting points and the distance the nose extends forwards. I think they just need to make it 50mm further forward relative to the front wing.

That's true. It's not a massive change to be fair. In fact I believe the nose that they began the season with was slightly lower and longer, and did in fact comply with next years regulations. Not sure of it's exact dimensions though, so I could be wrong.
 
Wrong thread. How did I confuse 2014 and 2015?
