Well done Netherlands. Poor show tonight but at least you got through.

Guted for Costa Rica but they have been true winners to come this far. They fallen as champions.

What day is the final? Saturday?

Calling Germany - Argentina final.

That has got to be the best Semi final line up in recent memory!

So, is this the part where Man U fans start overhyping LVG? :p

Germany-Netherlands final would just be 2010 all over again, all things considered.

Kudos to Costa Rica. Especially Navas and the defence. They leave having only conceded once in open play and one penalty (not counting the shootouts of course).

Still delighted to see the Dutch march on after a ridiculously tense final 20 minutes.

@Classic I was going to make a post saying how I want the new season to start to see LVG's tactical genius mind and then I saw your post

Our tip for Costa Rica.
How to celebrate after the game against the Netherlands.

Step 1.
Fold your flag.

Step 2.
Fold your flag again.

Step 3.
Wave your flag with pride and we'll celebrate the Dutch victory together!

I thought it was a shame that Costa Rica didn't want to play the game they played in the group stage. This could have been a match that waved from left to right but instead all we have seen is an orange attack squad and a big white bus.

He could have been a bit less like an 🤬 hole but fair play to him. After seeing the other teams Germany should go on and win it.

That has to be the most stupid gamble I've ever seen... and it worked...

This World Cup has been extremely crazy... even crazier than a FIFA/PES simulated one

Oh, @MoLiEG, have you seen the games? Argentina cannot stop Brazil because Messi is sailing past through the side of the tournament.

I'll tell you why my: RIVALRY. You heard what the Argentinians were singing today??? When these 2 supertitans collide, it's a war, and the bigger the stage, the better it gets... Messi can scratch his b:censored:s all day, but if he has one, he's beyond lethal...

And, since Brazil lost Ney, even if they get past through the Germans, they won't stand a chance vs. Messi and company...

Now the Netherlands are the Dark horses, from the remaining 4, they look like the victims... IMHO of course...

Pretty happy with the Oranje win today, looks like I'll have to leave work early on Wednesday to get home to catch the game. I don't have a ton of faith that they will be able to beat Argentina, but I'm going to be cheering for them never-the-less.

Good to see the Dutch win, but Robben can take a hike. He's a undountedly a great player but it genuinley pisses me off everytime he dives out- or inside the penalty box.

Then it only should have pissed you off once - last match. Robben was tackled every time. There's no real reason not to. He's pretty fast and it is now pretty much impossible to get red for it.

Van Gaal has said the reason he swapped the keepers for the penalties was because of Krul's greater height and reach, that's it and good job it payed off. But Krul's sportsmanship, or lack of wasn't good to see.
Giving the penalty taker the eyes and psyching him out is fair enough, but walking up to him and shouting in his face? It's dirty, disrespectful and a very cheap move.

Krul shouted that he knew his tricks. That's not a lack of sportsmanship.

Yep, it still is lack of sportmanship

And this match as well. He dived at least twice that I can remember in top of my head. He is one of those diveres that nobody can stand just like Neymar or Ronaldo.

I didn't know what he shouted but whatever he did say is irrelevant and my point still stands. It shows a very distinct lack of sportsmanship.

But we are in the Semi's and you guys are not. :p
