Speaking of that would it not make sense to start the points tally from scratch? If there is new teams driving in the N24 then they will be at a distinct disadvantage points wise and since car selection in N24 is the prize they're disadvantaged there too.

Plus there's new teams and cars on track so it is essentially a new series. Why not add 2 more races, move the Nurb race to the end and start fresh so all teams on a level playing field?

Wouldn't that be pretty unfair against those who have performed well so far? I'm ok with just going ahead with it as it is. Our team won't get first pick anyway so we're happy to use this series as practise.

The Calendar and format of the series is not open to discussion anymore as we have lots of ideas that we cannot share outside the GTP N24 organisers group at this time. Follow the FB page for announcements as and when we can release them. Also since it was kick off another forum the teams that have committed should not be dis advantages more than they have been by the move.

Was just a thought, didn't see anywhere in the OP that suggestions were taboo so it should probably be added in lest someone else post an offending suggestion.

I removed it from CRAP for a very simple and legitimate reason, it caused dissention, accusations and gave the impression that we were all driving for sheep stations so I removed it which was VERY hard to do for me but the group is more important than a couple of events.

You say kicked out but I gave to whoever wanted it, big difference.

And no one was inconvenienced, I've had nothing but "thank god HP, you've done the right thing that was getting out of hand" from a lot of members including from teams participating.

That's all I'm saying on the matter. GHH looks forward to defending our crown in 2014.

Just to avoid confusion, I will be Hosting Saturdays Deep Forest Race (Room 2) but not racing as PluxtheDuck is in ther 2nd TMB car this weekend.

I am also trialing something for the future and will be logging into Room one on my second PSN ID (Gadget333 - note the subtle number change) as a spectator so I can Save the replays of both races for faster Post Race Stewarding.

I am not 'running the spec checks' in either room.....just siting there as a dumb spectator.

If there are any last minute drop outs in Room 2, please post here ASAP because I will be locking the maximum number of drivers to what is posted here, plus one extra for myself. This will prevent any distracting "NoseyParker666 has entered the room" messages appearing once qually and the race has started.

Also for that reason it is very important that if you need to retire for real life reasons, you park in the pits and do not leave the room. If you DC mid race, please rejoin the room and either sit in the lobby or spectate (no texting please) to lock the room number as full again, and so you can explain your DC reasons in the lobby once the race is over.

Many thanks

Would you like me to run the spec check in room 2 then gadget?

Jonny did it last round for me so as long as he is OK to do again that'll be fine but thanks for stepping up Ethan.

Like I said, I'll be host for Room 2 but more than likely not even in attendance or watching until the race gets underway.

It'll be the equivalent of hosting a house party and spending the whole night locked away up in the basement :)

We might be down one but I am still looking.

I will confirm ASAP, working for international music act for a week right noe so time is short BUT it's a priority that I am working on, will know within 24hrs and will post accordingly.

Hi All! Have one question. I found somewere 1 lap time around 1.11 on Deep Forest and just wonder where I losing 2 sec. Is cutting on concrete just before first tunel allowed? Or just me and my nissan are too slow. I did training on RM tyres. Thanks and see you tomorrow :)

I think it might be the nissan.. but I only know one person who does 11.. and it's memto. He seems to drive anything in the 11s though so maybe it's the driver. ^^

So here it is, the official teaser trailer for the GTP N24

Awesome!!!

Just one thing lacking really. Some cars racing on The Ring.

I'll help you as an "actor" if you need material to record for a final "teaser/trailer" to release on GTP.

I really liked the "heartbeat" but think it would be cool to add some racing scenes right after the "beat" ends (with perhaps some cool metal music (Metallica "Fuel" perhaps?) in the background).

Then at the very end: The date and time for the event.

Hi Mate

Standard corner cutting rules where if all 4 wheels leave the track (defined as the white line/tarmac and/or red and white kerbing) then stewards may penalise you with a post race 30 second penalty.

I know the piece of concrete you are referring to and no, it is not legal to cut there.

Memto is depressingly quick. He was posting 1:11.xxx in the Lotus and when Cobani (a quickj driver himself) was struggling to better 1:13's in the Vette, he jumped into that car, gave it a tune and within 3 laps had got THAT into the 1:11's too.

Most others are in the 1:13's so don't despair :)

Sadly the lap times do reflect car differences and performance, I orginally went with the Evo RM which did 1:14s, switched to the Diablo and did 1:11s but this was offline...

I think on this track some of the cars might struggle a bit more, because it's such a twisty circuit. The understeery cars might have a bit more trouble getting those fast lap times. That would be my guess, no testing or facts behind. :P

This deficit was actually by design; the 4wd cars are 10 seconds slower then the 2wd cars around the N24 circuit (with a standardised set-up) in the dry, however in the rain they are 10 seconds faster (not to mention easier to drive).

The logic being that if you could shoulder the poor ability in the first rounds while still scoring fairly well, odds are you could clean up at the season finale with it's extra points value.

I see, I did not know that.. so which cars are slower? Lancer, R32 and Impreza?

Unfortunately GHH will be racing with only WIDFO at this point. If anyone does volunteer to race (I've a post on CRAP asking if anyone is keen) I will send them here to see if a spot is available but at this stage the official position is 1 driver down.

If anyone here on GTP wishes to run for us they'd be most welcome to do so.

Good luck to all drivers tomorrow; drive safe, drive well and have fun 👍

We should apologise, most of the original teams in this series had about a months worth of testing before selecting their car, in which time the characteristics and potential were thoroughly explored.

Returning to the topic, as has been noted by many, the spec balance is very close, however as Ninners pointed out the 4wd cars (Evo IX, R32 and Impreza yes) will be slower in the dry but faster in the wet.

As a final note, it is intended that we use GT3 spec (real world) cars for the actual race in February, these will be rear wheel drive exclusively, the specs for this series are more a legacy from previous runnings on GT. So do not fret too much about car choice, this is simply an opportunity to race with and get to know the people we'll be running with in February.

On top of what jonny has said, if the 4WD teams want to switch its not to late to pick up the remaining 2WD cars, but remember that its a gamble to do so since it could be wet at the nurburgring and its a double points race

Lobby opens in half an hour right? I'm all giddy ^^ probably gonna crash on the first lap from excitement..
