I will definitely be continuing with the series. Most likely with None Shall Pass Racing, unless I get enough interest from local drivers who want to form their own team. I put out a feeler for people who would be interested in doing the 24h run with me.

I'd like to do this in the R32 TC if that's okay...

EDIT: Oh, can't do Fridays at that time...

Team GHH are 3 drivers down for the next race, Dave and I are interstate and Johan will be in the desert I believe so that leaves Rosenlundaren, not sure if he can participate either.

EDIT: Might want to put my name in GHH list please, without me that team name doesn't exist.

With all the recent changes, I decided to change my leave plans as well, I will be back to participate in next weekends race and represent my team.

I'm in. I am assuming T2.6k will carry on as normal.

Good stuff mate

So are you running in the series or not? coz there is no point in putting your name down if your not going to be joining at any point. If not im sure that widfo and TDZ will be happy to rename their team since both wish to carry on racing.

This series runs on saturday mate, its why the feeder was pushed to sundays

That testing yesterday was fantastic fun! Really looking forward to the races now. Actually I didn't expect to be so competitive, but my pace looked good as long as you didn't compare it to the two aliens in front. :)

haha it was good fun, i just need to stop being so tired when i race, might keep it on the road then :P

I don't mind if you keep off the road.. might give the others a chance. ;)

Especially since it seems I'll be racing in the "fast" group.. Will have to try to keep up with you and allen and probably a couple of others that's just as fast. :P

Your pace and race craft last night was spot on mate, i dont think you have anything to worry about ;)

Yes, so if everyone wants to show off their awkward facebook-profiles, just join in the fun! :P

Ninners signs for Mitsubishi

This evening, Ninners announced he will be taking part in the rest of the season in the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII RM '05.

"It's a pleasure to have signed with Mitsubishi today, they have a good car, good engineers and now they have a driver, but we will be looking for another driver to use the second car, it's a nice challenge but I hope we can start it on a high."
The next round is Deep Forest 2 Hours which will be next Saturday.

Yes I'm racing this series (hence me asking for my name to be added) and GHH will be present to defend our title in Feb.

Adam, great to have you 'looking for a drive' in this series. Regarding car choice, just hold that thought on the R32 because the Polish Team 'Team Gran Turismo Poland' originally picked this car over a month ago but some issues stopped them starting the series. It now seems they are back, but we are just awaiting their confirmation.

Have another car in mind just in case

WE are trying to use 'unique numbers', but as some of the cars being used do not allow customisation, it's not always possible.

Here are the numbers used in Round 1:-

1. AllenDK29 (NSPR) – BMW M3 GTR Race Car (White/Blue #42) - ‘Marko’
2. micantony – (TG) Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Orange #8) – ‘Mic’
3. Play117(TOR) – Subaru Impreza Touring Car '02 (Chrome #57) - ‘Play’
4. WIDFO (GHH) – Honda NSX Proto LM Race (Red #11) – ‘Johan’
5. e10rice (T2.6K) – Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (Yellow/White #1) – ‘Ricey
6. i-was-ere (TMB)- Mazda RX7 Touring Car (Yellow #38) – ‘Scott’
7. jonnyb1990 (CCR) – Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT1 (White #88) – ‘JONNY’*

1. memto89 (CCR) – Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT1 (White #88) – ‘MATT’
2. TDZ-4-12-14-88 (GHH) – Honda NSX Proto LM Race (Red #11) – ‘DAVE’
3. Lavendel (TOR) – Subaru Impreza Touring Car '02 (Chrome #57) - ‘LAV’
4. eDirtyTati (NSPR) – BMW M3 GTR Race Car (White/Blue #42) - ‘TATI’
5. Gadget334 (TMB)- Mazda RX7 Touring Car (Yellow #34) – ‘Gadget’
6. Davidb_165 (T2.6K) – Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (Lilac #1) – ‘DAVE-B’
7. RacinJake – (TG) Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Orange #56) – ‘JAKE

My team always uses our individual numbers in the 30's (34,35,36,37,38,39), and would aim to use #34 for our single shared race car for the N24 in Feb.

Lap 2 – (first racing lap)
AutodromoNazionaleMonza_29_zps25d0bdb9.jpg

Everyone shows respect and common sense at T1/T2 for a clean start with no incidents.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_28_zps32169395.jpg

The Lambo carries great speed through Lesmo 2 and gets a run on Scott to pass him around the outside of Ascari.

…and then gets Ricey around the inside of Parabolica.

Lap 3
AutodromoNazionaleMonza_26_zps5d22a428.jpg

Scott challenges Ricey into Ascari but thinks better off it, finally getting the job done on the main straight. Up ahead Johan has got past Play who now has Jonny in his mirrors.

Lap 4
AutodromoNazionaleMonza_25_zps6ffd5b50.jpg

Play, Jonny and Johan in a slipstreaming battle for 3rd place.

AutodromoNazionaleMonza_24_zps8ca01ba5.jpg

Jonny passes Play at Ascari, compromising the Scoobies exit speed which allows Johan past on the run up to Parabolic, where Scott is also now looking to make a move.

Leaderboard end of Lap 4

Meanwhile upfront the NSPR BMW and TG Corvette are pulling away a little.

Play gets an outside rear wheel on the grass while gracing for Rogia spinning him across the chicane. He avoids contact but the incident drops him down to last place……..

….but only for a few seconds as Ricey runs wide at Lesmo 1 allowing Play to recover back to 6th.

Lap 10

Play is putting in some impressive laps and has caught Johan, draftin past on the main straight.

Leaderboard end of Lap 10

Lap 13

Jonny has caught Mic and draws alongside through Curva Grande to outbreak and take his 2nd place into Rogia.

Lap 14

Mic tries to stay with the Lambo but runs wide at Parabolica and with that loses all chances of a draft.

Lap 17

The Lambo is the second car to pit for tyres and in doing so drops from 2nd to 5th. Ricey had pitted end of lap 15.

Lap 18

Now the leader pits for fuel and tyres and rejoins in 4th behind Play

Lap 20

The BMW eases past the Scooby into Ascari, but in the background, the Lambo is visibly closer to both

Lap 21

Mic pits on what looks like perfect 2 stop strategy. He emerges in 6th behind Johans Honda.

Lap 24

With over a third of the race complete, Marko and Jonny have stopped once and there’s barely a few seconds between them. Scott is running a different strategy in the RX7, having yet to make a stop, but is right there in 3rd place with the leaders.

Lap 25

The exit of Lesmo 2 claims another victim as Play runs wide then spears across the track into the barrier. Heavy front and engine damage will mean a cruise back to the pits for the TOR driver. Its drops him from 4th to 6th.

Leaderboard End Lap 31

Lap 32

FINALLY Scott’s RX7 (followed shortly after by Johan’s Honda) is in for fuel and tyres. Both looking to execute a one stop tyre/fuel strategy. Scott emerges in 5th and sets about chasing down Play and Mic in front of him.

The Lambo also stops for it’s second scheduled pit. Leader Marko stays out 6 laps longer (L38) when he adds much more fuel than the Lambo had.

Leaderboard at end of Lap 40

Leaderboard at end of Lap 50

The top 5 cars are on the same lap and all fuelled and tyres to the flag (barring incidents). Marko has 7 seconds over Jonny, but the Lambo is on fresher rubber. This should be interesting!!

Lap 56

Jonny has been eating into ‘The Aliens’ lead by about ¾ second per lap. As the Beemer puts another lap on Ricey’s Vette the Lambo is right there just a few seconds back

Lap 57

The first attack is an attempt around the outside of the Rogia chicane. There is a little rubbing at the apex and the the Lambo has to back out of it.

A second attack, this time in one of Jonny’s favourite spots, the outside of Ascari, and this time it sticks. We have a new leader with 5 laps remaining.

Lap 58

That BMW might be heavier, and less grippy, but it’s still got all it’s horses and Marko power back into the lead down the main straight. The lead changes again at Rogia.
Then the Lambo executes a great cutback pass on the exit of Parabolica. Great fighting.

Lap 59

Meanwhile, in the battle for 3rd. Oh no, that not a normal line through Parabolica. Scotts blotted an otherwise faultless drive by putting an outside wheel on the grass and it’s spun him around. And that’s Mic in the background approaching ‘The Fog’ at full chat……

That’s NOT going to buff out!! Both drivers ‘push’ their wrecks in the pits for repair (luckily not too far to go…..they were at Pit Entrance)..

Play thinks all of his Christmases’ have come at once as he passes the Vette and the RX7 to leapfrog into 3rd.

Meanwhile….in the battle for the lead Jonny is pushing extra hard to break Marko’s tow, and pushes just a bit too hard exiting Ascari and….OFF. The Beemer is back in the lead with just over 3 laps remaining.

Leaderboard at end of Lap 61 – 2 laps to go!

Lap 63 – Last lap

Marko’s tyres are well and truly rooted. He’s having to drift around most corners. Going through Ascari for the very last time the Beemer gets very sideways …….

…allowing Jonny a run up the inside for a race winning pass into Parabolica. Quite a race

After 2 hours hard racing Jonny wins on the line by 0.502 seconds!
