Because it was so much more organised with you in charge...

Well done Ethan, commenting again when you have zero idea on anything, Can't say I am surprised.

The fact of the matter is this:

I was NOT in charge. There was a committee of people that included the new organisers (in entirety) yet the only one to have any input from them was Steve. The others sat back and did nothing at all and had almost zero input (including not voting on critical matters) but then, when I ejected the event from CRAP, they came forward with all the ideas in the world and were more than happy to start contributing... All that after not even giving it a chance on CRAP, not one.

You can talk all you want about how it was organised before but the fact remains that it was, in part, hampered by those who seemingly wanted it to fail in the first place and that is inexcusable, a massive sign of disrespect.

And I will add that you were not part of that committee and the only input you have had in the CRAP group has been a negative one which has included being warned for conspiring to cheat, childish behaviour, divebombing, aggressive driving and outright douchebaggery. The amount of complaints I had about you were through the roof, far more than any other member.

Enjoy your permanent holiday.

Can you please take this somewhere else. There are a lot of people that put a lot of effort in to prepare and take part in the races. Despite what you think, it was an enjoyable race series that a lot of people turned up for and enjoyed. This forum is not the place to settle your personal issues.

Get over it and move on please.

There are no personal issues Johan but I have remained silent to respect the spirit of exactly that which you have posted here but I will not stand by and suffer insult and untruths by anyone, especially when there is no "CSS/N24 thread for any issues relating to same" thread to post in.

If there was one of those active then I would certainly be posting in it but this one is the only CSS/N24 thread so here I am and until such time as there is such a thread then anything relating to the event here is most definitely on topic.

Well Dave picked it...and yet Dave was conveniently absent when the time came to drive it LoL :)

due to real life commitments Steve, I am a responsible road user and take my job as a truck driver very seriously, i tried participating last week in the wec and found that the lack of rest really does take a toll, im not risking my life or any other road users life for the sake of a game, 56 tonne is a bit more then a handful at 6am,

had daylight savings not been in place id have taken my rightful position in lobby 1, the car is as fast as anyone elses car, it was the right choice for the team as either GHH or FIR, though we did not fair very well in the series due to outside variables that were for the most part out of our control, we did learn alot about ourselves, our car and each other, our N24 car will be based on our findings from what we have learned as a team and about our team, it will be entirely a team decision, if that means i have to drive a pink Vauxhall cavalier then so be it.

You know I was just kidding. After the first round Scott and I gave Plux a bit of grief for 'persuading us' to run the RX7 but it was also a 'team decision' and in the end I grew to really like that car........apart from the Kenwood Blender soundtrack. At least the NSX sounded great :)

and as i wrote I dare say TMB will be of the same mind regarding car choice on GT6?

I am doing my best to source new employment so I can participate. Even still, the time slot will have to be moved forward as any event will take up most of our Sunday, with expected event completion to be around 1pm our time, i dare say I will quit the rave to enjoy our fabulous summer weather, either in the ocean or the river, I have the best of both worlds, and Id strongly suggest my team mates do the same,

You should have quit the rave scene ages ago Dave, at least I guess this means you're now stuck in the 90's not the 80's so you're gradually catching up ;)

I enjoyed the stream jonny, very nice feature, I always took the opportunity to check your progress at every pit stop I made and also a quick peek on the straights to see where adam was and what the positions were.

Hopefully for the future VLN races, and certainly for the main event in February, we will have the TV cameras or live timing screens being streamed.

why would i want to catch up? From here i foresee an oil shortage. Why would i want to be there for that? Haha

Not looking forward to swoosh around in an electric hovertruck Dave?

not really. I seen sgt bilko. The govee tank didn't work. I wont drive a heavy vehicle with an automatic gearbox, haha

I'd be lying if I said I never wanted to do it again, haha! Does that mean I liked it? Am I some sort of masochist?

Oh, and @Gadget334, was it just me or did someone say something over the headset in one of the early laps? It was loud but very unclear what they were saying. Hope it wasn't important!

By the way, just so you aren't surprised: I was going backwards on the GP course when you lapped me in the morning rain. Haha! I don't know what sort of penalty you levy for that but I take full responsibility. I put on racing mediums when I meant to take on inters. I had 6th gear wheel spin and the near inability to change directions so I decided around Schumacher that it would take me the rest of the race to get around the Nordschleife like that. Gave myself a "tow" back to the pits.

Enjoyed the race. That 19:00 lap was not part of my plan though:lol:

Daydreaming approaching Arenberg at night is not recommended FYI.

The disconn. during lap 17 sucked :banghead: I was gunning for an 8:20 lap (had to stay motivated some way :D). Did have an 8:23 lap earlier in the dry.

How did everyone finish prior to stewarding?

Ninners was driving incredibly early on before my wreck, after which I lost touch with him. Very deserved victory if he held on 👍

Top tip there mic. Another tip would be not to try and reposition your pedals while going 270 km/h down a straight that isn't actually all that straight..

@micantony Yes I did manage to hang on, since you crashed behind me it triggered an hour of crashing for the people behind me, giving me a 4min lead, kept it off the barriers and on the black stuff.

Funny moment in room 1 was on the first real night lap. I came out on track behind Adam and Play and started chasing immediately. After a while I caught up Adam and he let me by.. probably because the first thing I did was almost running in to him. ^^

Then just after that I found Play in a sand trap and passed him. At that moment I thought, "well that was easy, now let's just drive safely" And then i had a massive crash. And apparently Adam and widfo did as well somewhere behind me so everyone in the back drove round that lap with massive damage. ^^

Yea and then I caught up with you and we had a little battle of damaged. And Lucas got a free pass ticket on the whole bunch.

It was a real shame about the multiple DC's (especially for TMB that lost 2 of our 3 drivers) but hopefully the new teams have had their appetites well and truly wetted for the 24 hour in Feb. I hope PSN behave a little better for that!!

Appetites are truly wetted. All this unpredictability makes it even more exciting. I think we were close to getting third in the championship thanks to all the disconnects.. But TMB will be saved by laps made. :P

You guys did really well considering y

You guys did really well considering you came to the championship late. Looking forward to racing you guys again in the VLN and of course in Feb!

Yeah, I didn't have any control over my car though so I'm surprised we didn't tangle and crash again, seemed the Lexus just couldn't handle all that right side damage. I think I crashed about 10 times more that lap after you passed me..

The unlucky person in terms of damage surely has to be micantony, he spent 15mins limping his car to the pits, in total it took him 19mins to complete the lap, and he lost an entire lap, went too deep into the fast left hander towards the end of the aremburg(however you spell it) section, then dipped a wheel on the grass under braking on the first left after the a.... Section, and then he was limping it back and got abit more damage, if he had no troubles I think he could have got 2nd since we were quite evenly matched, if not he was faster than me.

Yeah, i put in extra fuel on the first stop to see if it might give me options in case of rain down the road. It slowed me down some to you per lap, but it would have been interesting to see how it could have turned out.
I had actually done 2 complete 360's earlier in the race without any contact LOL. Not sure how I pulled those off. So it wasn't my most focussed race anyway. But we were matching lap times early.

After my wreck, i was trying to damage the other slde of my car so it would at least drive straight, but i just kept messing it up worse in other areas of the car:dunce: ; it was probably humorous to watch that on replay.
I finally just put it on auto-drive at 35mph for the second half of the lap, pulling over as others approached. Might have gotten in Cobani's way soon after my wreck, not sure, but noticed he was in the grass after he passed me. Didn't seem to slow him down much though (at least relative to me :))

Ah, those miracle 360s on narrow Nordschleife roads are all part of the fun! Then you just toss it into 2nd on that last spin and catch it going the right direction and keep going like a boss!
