No no, Texas has plenty of that too. Every time I go to the Dallas Cars & Coffee, the E92 M3 owners (all of them around 25 years old) are the most obnoxious group in the entire event. Ironically, they are most like this out of all the groups represented there:

All V8 M owners are like that. I was at a huge BMW meet just last weekend where half the crowd is usually 50 year old men in straight-piped E39 M5s. Do they sound good? Yeah. Could they please stop revving because I know what a V8 sounds like? Yeah.

Way back when, after I found out BMW was putting a loud, fast V8 in a car that will sell like hotcakes, I knew they'd made a mistake and the bros would be all over it. I was right.

Generalizations can be made for every group. I promise that down here in Louisiana it's the big truck and muscle car crowd who constantly rev and hot dog. Of course they do it all the time and all over the place... I wish it was limited to meets.

I saw this on facebook.

The weight of the '15 Mustang is less then a 100 more then the currently one.

Info comes from a leaked dealer guide
Thats good news but still way off the rumor mill hype that it would be considerably less than the outgoing model.

At that point ford will have no choice but to drop the weight.

Why is the V6 a trip to McDonalds away from being the same weight as the outgoing model but the GT is getting dangerously close to the Chevy Prelude?

It's getting harder and harder to see where all of the supposed improvements are hidden.

But they're not exactly light either, are they now.. SVT Cobra R was a porker too.

No, like they have been asking since last Foxbody.

 What? The fox body weighed less than the last/current gen and upcoming gen. If any thing people would want the sub 3000 IBS

Stay on base. What are you comparing it too, because if you're comparing it to the family tree most would rather have it's weight in the current gen body.

3,200 lbs is about average for a newish V8 Mustang. There's easily a 500-600lbs difference between a New Edge GT and a modern 5.0.

Mustangs range anywhere from 2500-3400lbs. New ones have gone well north of 3400.

The original New Edge SVT Cobra was right around 3300 pounds. It was lighter (and had quite a bit better weight distribution) than the regular GT, as well as the SVT Cobra that preceded it (and the Mach 1 that essentially replaced it).

The SVT Cobra R was a porker because it had an engine that was well north of a hundred pounds heavier by itself. The Terminator had the same problem; except the engine was even heavier and the interior wasn't gutted to compensate.

Not live for me, probably just a preview only MotorTrend got (or any of the big auto review sites).
Regardless, 50k?
That's one expensive mustang for just the GT badge and all the goodies. Something tells me that's not representative of the value others will be able to find. Of course, give it a year or two and there will be insane deals I'm sure. 👍

I can't believe you can't get a EcoWoosh without those hideous black wheels. Are the brakes really that big? I'd rather have 17s.

I don't think so. Why would they? People have no problem buying 2 ton cars. It's just us gear heads who whine about weight. It's not like we even buy factory cars, why would they try to appease us when it's easier to pack cars with features and sell them to people who don't care how the car handles?

So the V6 is 9 pounds heavier than the ecoboost.

Have they released horsepower figures yet? The Ecoboost better be about 50hp stronger than the V6 for it to make any sense....

It's supposed to have much more torque, sooner.

I was hoping for better fuel economy.

Ecoboost comes with silver 5spokes standard only the PerfPack requires the hideous black wheels.

I know. EcoWoosh. Why would anyone get the 4 cyl without the performance pack?

You mean like people have been asking for since '94

Fixed for you. Seriously I remember the talk at the drags/car shows when the SN95 1st came out, they were considered heavy pigs compared to the 5.0 LX and the SN95 GTS option package wasn't enough.
