Ford's marketing campaign for the new Mustang seems to be to give it as much exposure as possible.

"Put it in Need for Speed, don't even have it do any sick burnouts, just put it in so people can see it. Send 15 to the beach. I don't care that they're all stock red cars, make it so that no set of eyes in that timezone has not seen the '15 Mustang in the flesh!"

Maybe its to get people comfortable with the new look. As much as enthusiast's moan, most consumer's love the body-builder retro look.
 
Form an enthusiasts standpoint this car seems to be getting more hate than the Mustang II.
 
I'm starting to really like the design. I'm not sure if that's from me barely sleeping or it actually looks good.

I can't go anywhere or read anything on the net without a ton of people saying its hideous. Even die hard Mustang guys are literally ripping it a new one.
 
That just means that the prices will drop sooner :D
 
I've seen quite a few comments from people saying they like the II better because it at least looks classic.

The new one has its people who like it but the haters seem to far outweigh the others. We'll see.
 
With those prices of $45kUS with options, I see 50k AUD as drive away prices here.
 
I like the tail light design, but that front end looks hideous.

The look of '15 mustang is still a bit growing on me, on some angle it looks weird but from the right angles it looks awesome. Still love the '14 mustang though, love the rear lights.

From a Camaro fan to a Mustang fan, you know they'll never please anyone. Everyone wants what they had, you know, back in the day. Not this new, modern stuff. Honestly, the actual differences between the new Mustang and the outgoing model to an average person isn't much. It is instantly recognizable as a Mustang, and honestly, that's exactly what Ford wants. Having seen multiple on the road now, in addition to the ones at the auto shows, I'm more than pleased with the way it turned out.

I love it and I am about as die hard as they get. There is always a bunch of hate at the new body style. I remember the launch of the SN95 which got and still gets MASSIVE hate vs the FOX cars. The New edge launch got big hate because it looks "importish" in some eyes. and the S197 got hate because it was retro. The SN10 '10 refresh got hate because of the taillights.

The new Saleen Mustang doesn't look too bad, the only thing I don't like more like it looks weird is the painted part of the b-pillar.

The painted B pillar almost looks like a throwback to the targa strap that came as an option on Mach 1s and Cobra II's in the mid 70s.

That Saleen looks badass. Only, I would do a spoiler delete and get rid of that B-pillar color. They should buy some louvered glass from Ford and put that on the car instead.
 
The new Saleen looks good only thing that doesn't look so good is painted B-pilar.

I think they look a lot better as far as resemblance than the Fox bodies :lol:
