I agree. I love that thing. The roofline is perfect haha.

It reminds me of a G35/G37

It kinda does. OH god. (one of my favorite cars looking like a car I cannot stand LOL)

Out of curiosity, why can't you stand the G35? It's something of a muscle ca itself. A friend of mine, who's about 60 and was around during the late 60's for all the great muscle cars (And of course, he's owned several), now has a G35. He bought it because he liked it better than the Mustang, and he felt that the Mustang has a very poor image if someone his age is driving it.

They are nice cars for sure it just the people that drive them around here, mostly pretentious folks who used to buy BMWs and ricers who came across a little bit of money.
Plus I don't like the styling of the G37 especially the tacky glued on chrome spoiler they have.

I may like Muscle cars but its not exclusive to my car tastes. I am also a big Subaru fan boy I daily drive a Legacy and am looking at getting a WRX wagon to replace it.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. I've never liked spoilers like that either, but I could live with it. The image issue, though, really would bug me.

👍 I wasn't accusing you of only liking muscle cars. We're all car enthusiasts, and everybody has their own tastes, but in the end we all love cars, right? :)

Yeah the Image thing is a big one which is a shame cuz they are nice cars.
Yep we all are just car people in the end. Which is one of the things I like about here. Car folks from everywhere with different taste. The same old gets old fast.

I love the G37, but in all honesty I don't see the connection with the Mustang except that they are both coupes.

The roofline on the G35/37 and the render that was posted up of the S550 Mustang.

The roofline as said before. And shape of the rear side window ( quarter glass) looks the same.

All I keep seeing is AM. Even covering the mustangs nose.

Sounds great! To me, Fords front end design direction doesn't look right on the Mustang and those renderings pretty much solidify that for me. Granted the official look hasn't been revealed yet, I've no hope for this Mustang looking good at all, but the sound is attractive so that's good.

I dig it a evolution of the current car.

Does nothing for me, really.

Its to obscure the roofline. Rumor has it its a true fastback.

It's really not too far off of an evolution with the current mustang.

I agree 100% its pretty close to the current car. Which is NOT a bad thing.

It's not bad but I still see fish mouth in the front end with that grill.

That front is still way to retro for me to even remotely think it's a good design right now. Obviously I'll have to wait to see the full car, but my optimism is falling fast.

Disappointed. Was hoping for contemporary styling. Oh well, maybe next time...

That looks like an aftermarket bodykit with some ugly headlights
