That's real crappy news.

There is no easy transition after someone's death, but sadly, and as the saying goes... the show must go on. So good luck to all drivers and teams competing this weekend all across NASCAR. That even includes the action at Richmond.

So Brendan Gaughn's pit just caught on fire. Sign of things to come or 2spooky4me? Beats me

Two of Gaughn's crew members have to go to the hospital due to burns suffered in the fire.

Joey Lagano is your polesitter for the race on Saturday night at Richmond with a speed of 127.071. He'll share the front row with Virginia native Denny Hamlin (127.796). Filling out the Top 5 are Kurt Busch, A.J. Allmendinger, and Kevin Harvick.

looks like richmond race tonight is going to be rained out. nascar hasn't had much luck with the weather lately

It's already raining here, which means it's been raining at Richmond for a while.

This has been a fairly quiet race so far.

Danica's been the main source of entertainment. Otherwise, meh.

Is Kurt eligible for the chase after what happened in the first part of the season?

Yeah, NASCAR granted him a waiver when he came back

Yeah, Kurt!

Get this: Kurt just won with Danica Patrick's old crew chief. Let that sink in for a moment... :sly:

Of course, Tony Gibson and Kurt Busch are a far better combo.

Glad to know that Kurt got the win.

I taped the race as I had to do some work outside. Glad to see that Kurt got the win.

David Ragan will drive the 55 after this weekend for the remainder of the season. Erik Jones will take over the 18 until Kyle Busch returns. Chris Buescher will drive the 34 at Talladega, and future plans for the 34 will be announced at a later date.
