If the Steelers get to the Super Bowl this year, Big Ben can still be the starting quarterback. It's not like the 18 team didn't show up for a third of the season. Hell, they ran top five at Martinsville with David Ragan driving the 18 car.
Cannot compare the two.

yup...

And whoever replaced Kenseth was better than Kenseth himself.

NFL analogies are irrelevant here. Auto racing is vastly different from stick and ball sports.

I feel like you're ignoring the word "Driver's" in "Driver's Championship"
Out of a 26 race regular season, Kyle won the most races, with four wins. He did it with eleven less starts.

If anything, he was more deserving of a spot in the Chase than the guys that got in on points after going 0 for the first 26 races.

Some don't think Kyle should be in the chase for missing races. That's cool. Harvick shouldn't either because he had a car that would have elimimated him from contention until he conveniently wrecked the feild. NASCAR let Harvick do it rather than go to the garage. NASCAR also said they would make an exception if Kyle won and made it into the top 30. Kyle did it. Blame NASCAR for the 18 winning it. But in the same regard, also blame NASCAR if Harvick takes it. 18, baby!

Dude, we all agree....

Yet people seem to think Joey crashed Matt on purpose still...

If Kyle deserves to be in the Chase or doesn't, we all need to understand the real issue. You can't blame the #18 team.

NASCAR is the one who implimented the system, they're the ones at fault for allowing it.

"Don't hate the player, hate the game."
This, unfortunately NASCAR has forgotten how to properly make the rules to it's own game.

And the 18 isn't the reason the 24 won't win the title.

The fact that the 24 hasn't been good on intermediate tracks in almost 10 years is the reason the 24 won't win the title.

Damn, maybe he should go faster.

Indeed. I'm more mad at the sport then I am at the racketeer.

Kyle deserves the championship if he wins it. He didn't self implode during the chase this year.
He missed 11 races. If he wins, it was handed to him. Because NASCAR only cares about the "comeback story" more than the driver that should actually win it based on a FULL season performance.
