Gordon and McMurray hit walls without safer barriers hard :scared:

Oh look, good thing there was a SAFER barrier where Jeff hit the wall....
Yes, the one that ended 30 feet before Gordon hit the wall. Really good work by AMS.

Already got a movie title for Gordon's last season: Wreck-A-Gordon

That Chevy commercial surr makes it seem like 95% of the field isn't made up of Chevy's.

So who takes out Gordon next week?

So if a racer takes out someone via stupid driving is Stenhousing this year, is a driver who gets taken out through no fault of his/her own Gordoning?

I'd find it extremely ironic if Gordon has an awful year after announcing this would be his final season in Cup, because he wants to go out on top.

So who takes out Gordon next week?
Austin Dillion
Danica Patrick
Ricky Stenhouse
Brad Keselouski
Joey Logano (if he dares to bump draft)

Sooo, why can't NASCAR mandate track to have full course safer-barriers?

Seriously, Gordon is lucky that was on a restart. There has been several times now where this has happened. Just to name some I can think of off the top of my head: Kyle Busch at Daytona, Gordon just now at Atlanta, and Denny Hamlin at Fontana.

Kyle still being a smart ass xD Good to see he's still feeling himself
Not a smart ass at all here. NASCAR says the track needs to be safer yet it's proven that it's not based on no safer barrier there.

Edwards has a flat tire. There's the caution! Oh wait, no there isn't! He's dropping visible debris but no caution!

I don't think any of the debris from Carl's tire got onto the racing surface.

I read it wrong. Apologies.

And this crash involving Gordon at Las Vegas (where the nascar circus is going next weekend):

Where was the debris for the prior cautions? We'll never know.

:scared:

Hey look, a reason to actually call a caution!

Johnson will get to 100 wins. Only needs 30 more. He will pass Gordon in every possible stat. Calling it now.
As long as he has Knaus as his CC, there's no way he doesn't break the century mark. Gordon would have done it easily if Evernham remained his CC instead of going off to create Dodge's factory team.

Kenseth with the ultimate pitting fake-out. What a hustler..
