I knew it. I knew that they couldn't have been that slow. They just didn't want to get BOP'd before Lemans...

I distinctly remember suggesting a Ford 1,2,3,4 an hour into the race. I may have been pessimistic about their pace....

I'm fairly certain BOP can be applied up to and including the morning of the race, can anyone confirm/correct?

"Oh, look, we havent been at Le Mans in decades but right out of the box we're quicker than anyone! EcoBoost engines are THAT good, get a quote at your local Ford dealership!".

Yeeeah...right. I'm not a fan of Jake's cars but they're no rookies and surely their accusations don't come out of nowhere 👎.

🤬, that just sent shivers down my spine.

I remember being right in front of the TV, discussing the race with all the usual guys here and then boom...the news from the medical center.

The kind of things that remind you that Le Mans is no ordinary race.

6 Toyota has some damage. Pegasus P2 goes off and causes red flag around the same time.

I remember watching the race and talking on this forum, we all seemed to think it was a race-ending crash but nothing serious, somebody posted that it looked like they were performing CPR in the ambulance but that seemed unbelievable until the news came a couple of hours later.

It's especially daunting when you know he was talking to the crew workers before they extracted him.

Sounds like an intriguing series of events. Ford was probably very much sandbagging...but being fast doesn't guarantee you much at LeMans. Let's see how it turns out in the race.
