The BoP made the GT race irrelevant, its a shame.

Not if you are a Ford or Ferrari fan, why isn't Porsche running a turbo? Did anyone ever here if the Vettes got their 3mm restrictors in or did they have to stick with the 2's ?

I'd rather hear Eddie Chever go off-topic and talk about Indy then having to suffer through endless ads evry 10 mins and unnecessary 5 min montages during the race
I bet to him this is the longest practice session for the Indy 500.

Those poor guys at Corvette Racing. Let's hope the Ferraris and Fords run into mechanical issues as its what they deserve after cheating the system. I hope penalties are handed out from now on for major sandbagging

Porsche's new car won't compete until next year. And Corvette were given a break but they didn't bring the 3mm restricters. :grumpy: Aston Martin did however.

These new Ferrari's and Ford's are boring as **** and leading. :banghead:

Everyone sandbags. Everyone plays the game. Ford just played it to the best of their advantage - you need to bend the rules to be competitive in motorsport.

The ACO already served them a sufficient penalty in pegging both them and Ferrari back, but the issue is the BoP itself. They're not used to equalising turbo and NA, and unfortunately it shows.

I know how it is, as a long time tifosi I have been screwed by bop many time over the years. I have to say however, as a factory backed effort with their experience there is no excuse for not having the proper restrictors on hand. Also I never find fast cars boring!

Sound like **** and they weren't this fast in IMSA. The 488 and GT are like modern turbo F1 cars, snooze fest worthy.

That's the sound of progress, I love hearing the systems running on the LMP1-HY cars...and the current f1 cars. Problem is, you can only really hear it on the onboards.

CLM with more issues.
I think it's more news-worthy when the car is actually working.

Toyota are in a fantastic position here. Porsche and Audi are going to have to pull the pin on a fresh strategy pretty soon I think.

but muh v8s and big engines

Oh I get you, I love them also. I grew up building and racing muscle cars back in the 70's, they are fantastic! As an engineer though I do love the high tech nature of racing some of these cars.
