CORVETTE YOU ROCK!

Vette triple crown last year was awesome. Even more that at LeMans they were down to only 1 car. Back to back would be crazy.I'm still scratching my head as to how that #2 is that fast. Almost feels kike it shouldn't be allowed! Great race. Picked up a steam just at the end to see the #4 take the flag! That Vette better be first at Le Mans. I need to witness a proper triple crown!

Leigh Diffey reports F1 back to previous qualifying format.Great race despite all those yellows and the prolonged red flag. I'll have some F1 for dessert now.

Oliver Pla is also a factory Ford driver as well.Listened to RLM's Post Race Tech and they brought up the fact that Pipo Derani is a "factory" OnRoak driver, as is Olivier Pla.
How about we will the grid with 20 LMP3 cars?GTD and GTLM are the stars of the series, but Prototype is becoming decent.👍 Action was pretty brilliant all around!
Can we please rid of PC? Please?
It'll be just be a larger carbon fiber bill. How about we will the grid with 20 LMP3 cars?
Some people would rather drive a prototype car than a GT3. Take into account that all but one team had only a few days to get used to the new MOTEC system and engine upgrades the cars should be much better at the next race in a few weeks. Hopefully the PC teams will have a chance to go testing before LBGP.
....that's not funny.Just wait until near the end of lap 1 at LBGP. Two PC's will collide at the hairpin and the rest of the PC field will be stopped in the middle of the track and the GTLM field will be forced to stop their race until the mess is cleaned up.![]()
That explains it, then.I'm surprised that the GTLM cars were not quicker than last year with all of the upgrades to the aero. I was expecting lap times in the high 56's and they never got near that. If the PC class was gone I would expect the BOP for the GTLM class to change so they had higher trap speeds than the GTD cars and would be 2-3 sec per lap faster.
We'll probably clearly see the results at the first round of the WEC in LMGTE-Pro with the Aston's, Fezza's and Ford's at Silverstone. Just have to wait for Le Mans for the pace of the Vette. That explains it, then.
I had the same thought as you when I saw the lap times compared to '14 and '15's. "Wasn't all of that work supposed to make them faster?"
If PC continues it's pace into the future, it could raise questions for manufacturers who would are now no doubt spending more per car only to have them go the same speed as the old cars.
Hopefully Le Mans shows what the new package is capable of with no spec Proto's in the way.
