They're also gentlemen drivers not pros like the GTLM guys. I think if you put better drivers in many of those cars they'd have faster times in comparison.

Hence why they need a BoP boost of some sort,

Yeah but why, just to show them faster? They're not all that technically advanced to start with like the LM cars anyways, so why should they be faster?
 
I expect them to be faster next year when Continental can develop a tire for the P2/PC cars instead of making due with a DP tire. Colin Braun in the 54 PC is the pro and was 1.9 sec faster than GTLM pole and 6 mph faster at the end of the straights than the fastest GTLM.

Just to get them out of the way of GTLM, judging by qualifying the GTLM race today is going to be fantastic, as always, its literally going to be about who doesn't get ejected stage left at turn 1 first,

I'd rather see the GTLM guys be faster to be honest. I never saw it as a big issue.

More contact in PC on restart. 67 GT Goes off track. Lime Rock turning into a demo derby already. :lol:
 
Fox could have used this as a golden opportunity to give the sport a chance to gain new fans with enhanced coverage, but no. In typical Fox fashion, the coverage is ass despite being on national tv.
 
GTLM battle with pretty much everyone. I'd say that so far in this race the BoP is working.
 
912 Porsche is definitely making friends today.
Even more friends now since it went off with the 25.
