I have never been a fan of their cars, but certainly a big fan of their support of motorsports. I have to admit though, they are at risk of becoming a laughing stock if this continues :boggled:

Assuming they more or less haven't already been? They choose to keep running a unreliable engine last year despite testing one that was by far more reliable AND faster.

Mazda Japan/North America unable to understand one another though. IIRC, last year the guys at Speedsource desperately wanted to go to the AER engine but Mazda Japan refused.

Okay, so for anyone at the track, stick around after the last race to see a fellow GTPer take a lap of the track. I'll be in my car so you can spot me easily. I'll be with the rest of the Audis. Also, there are about 80 Ford GT's here from all over the country that will also be taking a lap with us.

I'm not at the track, but have a great time.

And get lots of photos!

Feels hotter than last year, and that's with the announcer talking of a 40% chance of rain. Could be a humid race tomorrow.

Flirted with one of the Continental girls and got 4 extra hats...
Nicely done. 👍 :D

Yeah, it's been pretty brutal so far.

The parade lap was really fun...video coming soon. In the mean time, here's some girls that are kinda attractive:

This is what I have been trying to ask since I came on. How is it possible that some fans can go behind the scenes within teams to such an intimate level they are allowed know such confidential information regarding things like the mechanical set up of cars.

VIP access is one way.

Just got a BBS wheel from the Mustang Sampling corvette DP. I also got a pair of sparco gloves and a carbon fiber wheel well.

I don't care what happens for the rest of the race, the best bit will be John Hindhaugh saying "Awkward!" in a singsong teenage voice.

31 gets a drive through for friendly fire with 5 that lead to Hindhaugh's "Awkward".

Possible broken drive shaft on the Spirit of Daytona DP. Darn.

The 60 stopped on track with a WeatherTech sign on top of it.

OMG/WTF post incoming.

The MSR Ligier loses a lap because of the lack of efficiency in American marshaling, the caution is out. Get off your arse and walk out and move it. Don't wait 5 minutes for a pickup truck to go out, no wonder caution periods take so long.

Big GTLM drama now as the 67 GT is having issues.
