A lot lower revving and really muffled sounding. Nothing like the N/A RSR in my opinion.

I hear if you pay BMW they'll give you the IMSA and WEC special edition rule book that gives you 1000 ways to get a waiver on various parts. It's a super rare book though.

How do we know that the turbo charged car wasn't a testbed for the P1 car? I mean people should really think about this when a manufacture runs factory efforts in both premier classes.
 
A turbocharged 911 GTE? This pleases me.

Even if Porsche says this 2017 car is N/A, I think eventually they too will go the turbo route.

Because they won't use a six-cylinder in their P1.

What engine config won Le Mans in LMP1 and GTE this year...?
 
N/A is dead in current rules I'm afraid. There's too many ways it can get more power from smaller cc and use less fuel.

A turbocharged V4 and a turbo Ferrari or Ford. And Porsche going with a P1 turbo gives them a perfect platform to work a GTE engine.
 
@catamount39 Last time I looked there was LMP2 cars winning and now the Ford has been allowed to show its real paces it's quick. Also see M6 GTLM and 488.

What won the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring? Oh that's right a N/A 5.5L V8.
 
You must've been watching a different Sebring and Daytona as it was a turbo V6 LMP2.
