Red flagged....time for a break and going to do something else

Red flag is out.

Red Flag

Fair call, dangerous conditions, is what is at the end of day for those complaining.

Blame IMSA for giving them the damn 1 TO GO signal only to do that.

Can hardly blame them, it was wise to sit behind the safety car for the time they did, given the conditions, nothing you can really do about it. Only complaint really is perhaps they should've gone to red sooner, with aquaplaning such an issue.

We might as well just immediately red flag the race once it starts raining because good god IMSA really are THAT afraid of racing in the rain

Sure. Let's go racing and have a farcical race because GTFan24 thinks IMSA are scared. Let's ignore the views of drivers who are saying the standing water is getting worse and worse.

But conditions like this can't be ignored, it's a large rainstorm, not a great deal you can do, red flag is a wise call. Safety comes first.

People would bitch if IMSA kept the race going and people would bitch if IMSA red-flagged the race. I'd rather either of the two that happened over most of the field joining Tommy Milner in the wall since the two fastest points of the track are the two slickest points of the track and having a farce of a race with most of the field crashed out.

Said from a presumably dry warm room.

It always annoys me when people have this attitude considering it's not their money or wellbeing at stake. If the people actually participating in the race say it's unsafe, it's probably unsafe

"Cleaning and drying program"

Yeah sure, like that surely worked the first time guys

I'd guide you all towards some motorsport that hasn't actually stopped right now, but unfortunately the WRC has just finished. Shame that, because it was absolutely cracking.

I'll take a guess and say Ogier unsurprisingly won again as usual?

by 2.2 seconds only but indeed he did

Well yes, if you consider him winning in a Citroen (!) with a sticking throttle (!) by 2.2 seconds (!) from a man with a faster car (!) 'unsurprising'.

Race Control looking to restart at 9am, around 20 minutes or so.

Bang on 9am, and the safety car is going once again. A long red flag period, but it was needed, though still raining, the conditions are much more race-"able" now.

Green Green Green! 5 hours and 29 minutes to go!
Leaders at the line!
DPi: 10
LMP2: 81
GTLM: 62
GTD: 86

Caution is out for a multi car wreck.
