Horrible news, he only got married 10 days ago and he leaves three children.

A fantastic player who was a part of the Liverpool title winning team last season, he won 50 caps for Portugal and was also part of the team that won the Nations League earlier this summer. His brother Andre was also a footballer who played in the Portugese second tier.

My condolences to everyone affected, its a sad day.

The end is in sight for Kim Jong-Tuna...

Kim jong tuna, hahaha. Surprised you don’t have special edition Wednesday tuna cans labeled Owl of the Sea

Premier League clubs are expected to be back for pre-season this week, EFL clubs have been back for about a week.

Club World Cup semi finals
Real Madrid v PSG
Chelsea v Fluminense

Arsenal have signed Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for almost £60 million, they also signed Kepa from Chelsea for £5 million, It looks they are signing in demand striker Viktor Gykores from Sporting Lisbon too.
Burnley has signed Kyle Walker from Man City in this summers surprise move, he joins for £5 million.
Chelsea has signed winger Jamie Gittins from Borussia Dortmund for £48 million.
Brighton has signed Belgian defender Maxim De Cuyper from Club Brugge for £17 million, they have also signed another defender in Olivier Boscagli on a free after he left PSV.
Sunderland has signed Habib Diarra from Strasbourg for a club record £30 million.

That this is a headline - he's contracted to 2028 - is staggering.

Seems he just noped out of the impending Dejphoon and now that there's light at the end of the tuna tin he's come back.

We're apparently in pre-season training at St. George's under Pedersen, but nobody seems to know what players are left, or what matches we're playing before kick-off in August. Also we can't sign any new players at all, even on loan, until January 2027 so we're going down at least once even if there's no points deduction (which there will be).

Sheffield Wednesday are the worst run club in English Football right now.

Reading were, until they got taken over.

Chelsea won the Club World Cup on Sunday beating PSG 3-0 in the final, all three goals came in the first half with Palmer scoring twice and assisting new signing Joao Pedro for the second, the trophy presentation after was slightly overshadowed by Donald Trump and his refusal to leave the stage!

Dramatic day for transfers with Frankfurt rejecting a £70 million offer Newcastle for striker Hugo Ekitike, he would have been their record transfer ad there was since talk of Isak leaving Newcastle but they say he is not for sale, Liverpool could rival Newcastle Ekitike bid and they rejected a bid from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz which was £58 million.

In other transfer news Arsenal have been the busiest of the last few days, they has signed midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford for £15 million and are close to signing defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia and sought after striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.

Newcastle has signed Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest for £55 million.
Spurs has signed Mohammed Kudus from West Ham also for £55 million.
Brentford has signed Jordan Henderson on a free transfer and he signed a two-year deal.
Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign keeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea for £25 million.
Sunderland has signed Brighton winger Simon Adingra for £21 million.
Everton has signed striker Thierno Barry from Villareal for £27 million.

There is other news like the Forest/Spurs row about Morgan Gibbs-White, and the fact that Crystal Palace have been kicked out of the Europa League and demoted to the Conference league over supposed multi club rule breaches.

Can you add the fact that Man city's rumored to only have a 3 point deduction, with only one charge being found guilty of

So Swansea now have Snoop Dogg as a co-owner and investor, as well as Luka Modric.

I have no idea what's going on!
They obviously must be past this then...

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign striker Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt, the deal could be worth up to £79 million. Liverpool have been pretty exceptional in this window to be fair, maybe favourites to win the league now.

Bryan Mbeumo to Man United is almost done and the announcement is imminent, Brentford accepted a bid for him on Thursday which is £65 million rising to £71 million and he has spent the weekend having his medical. Marcus Rashford is heading to Barcelona on season loan with an option to buy which £28 million, Barcelona will cover his wages.

Arsenal has signed Noni Madueke from Chelsea for £48.5 million.
Bournemouth has signed goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea for £25 million.
West Ham has signed full back Kyle Walker-Peters on a free after he was released by Southampton.
West Ham has also signed Senegal defender El Hadji Mallick Diouf from Slavia Prague for £19 million.

The GTPlanet Fantasy League is now open, please come along and join in the competition!

The Lionesses have successfully defended their European crown, beating Spain on penalties in the final of Euro 2025. Back to back for England, 3 Euros in a row for Sarina Wiegman and the first senior England team to win a major tournament on foreign soil.

Come on England!

Yeah congrats to them, they weren't the better team in the game but Spain found it hard to break them down. England had that grit and determination throughout the tournament, they don't give up.

Special mention to Hannah Hampton, she stepped up when Mary Earps retired right before the tournament with two great penalty saves to go along with the two she had in the QF v Sweden.

Also has anyone noticed that England teams seem to make to finals regularly now. The men's senior team, the under 21's and the women's team, a lot of hard work must be going on behind the scenes.

Arsenal has signed striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon in a deal worth up to £73 million.
Joao Felix has joined Al Nassr from Chelsea for £43 million.
Goalkeeper James Trafford has re-joined Man City from Burnley for £27 million.
Luis Diaz has joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool for £65 million.
Sunderland has signed Granit Xhaka from Bayer Leverkusen for £17 million in one of this summer's surprise moves.
Bayern Munich's Joao Palhinha has joined Spurs on loan with an option to buy.
Sunderland has signed Dutch keeper Robin Roefs from NEC Nijmegen for £11 million.
Spurs legend Son Heung-min will leave the club this summer and looks set to join MLS side LAFC.
Wolves has signed left back David Moller-Wolfe for £10 million from AZ Alkmaar.
Aaron Ramsdale has joined Newcastle on loan from Southampton with an option to buy.
Chelsea has signed defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax for £37 million.
The main transfer news more recently though is the Alexander Isak saga, Newcastle rejected a bid from Liverpool for him which was £120 million and Liverpool are unlikely to make a second bid, Isak is pushing for a move though and Newcastle has made a bid for Benjamin Sesko for Leipzig as a replacement with Man United also interested in him.

Away from transfers is the continuing saga's at both Sheffield Wednesday and Morecambe. Morecambe are on the brink of collapse with Wednesday not too far behind by the sounds of it.

League's One and Two's season started over the weekend with the Championship starting this weekend, the Premier League starts in just under two weeks.

Man United looks set to the striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, the deal is around £75 million and that includes potential add-ons, Newcastle also bid twice for him but the player only wants Man United and the deal is close to being done, several players have rejected Newcastle this summer despite them having the money to spend, its been a disappointing summer for them.

Everton have been the busiest in the last few days, they have signed midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea for £25 million and are trying to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton, they have also approached Man City over a loan move for Jack Grealish.

Liverpool's Darwin Nunez is set to join Al-Hilal for £56 million.

Sheffield Wednesday players will fulfill the opening game of the season against Leicester this Sunday, they haven't been paid in three months so you wouldn't blame them for downing tools.

Money and champions league football. Shows lack of ambition from the players that they'd rather play bottom half premier league football and maybe challenge for the league cup.
