Red Bull seems to be interested in signing Alex Palou for the 2026 season. Do you guys think, he will be a success in F1?

I am not sure he’s actually interested to leave IndyCar for Formula 1.

Give him a test and then we'll see. Until IndyCar, he was on his way to F1 in Europe/Japan and he has enough super licence points so it would certainly be interesting. He can always turn it down later when the test failed. The fact that he is not yet the highest-paid IndyCar driver after the last few years could change with something like this too.

"F1 doesn't appeal to me anymore. I still follow it; it's a huge championship. It's incredible. I'm a huge fan, but I don't think they have as much fun as I do here. I don't see people partying with their wives and kids as much as we do. I don't see the drivers hanging out together in the RV park we have here or having dinner with their mechanics. I just like driving, having fun, and being with my friends, and I think F1 is the complete opposite" Alex Palou

To Spanish media, Alex has said on several occasions that his desire to go to F1 has passed. That his time was with McLaren, but things didn't go well, and he wants to forget about it. (the resolution between Palou, McLaren and Ganassi is still pending)

He's very happy in the USA and wants to continue making history in IndyCar.

He has, however, said that he would like to return to Le Mans.

It should be noted that Palou said this before Red Bull's possible interest. If the interest is real, I don't know if he will continue to think the same.

Personally, I don't see the point in giving up IndyCar victories to become Red Bull's second driver and the risk of being far from Max's performance.

And then at a time where new regs are coming in WHILE Red Bull themselves are in shambles. Can't see him throwing away a known ride that IS competitive for a ride that "Maybe" will be competitive.
 
Well, at least Bottas embracing his inner bogan the last couple years will carry over well to the American demographic.

Cadillac F1 just have to bring back the boomerang antenna. It'll be the first F1 car with curb feelers and velour armrest.
I can see Bottas growing a fro like Tom Jones.
They need to have the upper engine cover covered in vinyl in a different color than the rest of the car.

He's said yesterday that nothing's happening, he hasn't been contacted and his time looking at F1 has passed.

Interestingly Colton Herta didn't deny that he's possibly heading to F2, and the Cadillac boss didn't deny it either at the driver announcement. Sounds like he's still the main plan for an American driver in one of the cars, so will head to F2 to hopefully get the superlicence points whilst Bottas and Perez keep the seats warm.
