Well, Cadillac wasn't very smart to put rain tires on both cars. This race is going to be interesting especially if it rains again. Can't believe Cadillac is at the back of the grid and Ferrari is once again up front and center even with the lowest power and higher weight. Ferrari was strong here last year too though so it makes sense. Either way a lot can happen just hope for some good battles from the underdogs and hope Cadillac can make it through the field towards the front.
You are right. That was a little bit of a bone headed moveWell, Cadillac wasn't very smart to put rain tires on both cars.
Yay! Water!Live on WEC site now.
And its raining.
Agreed. I wouldn’t have expected rain like this in Texas of all places. This rain sucks. Hopefully theres at least a few hours break from it
Kind of. They could have gone green at some point, but now the track is back to full wet.Race continues!
That's sad news but unfortunately not surprising. Porsche were way too optimistic concerning potential sales of their EV's, they have to put up with ridiculous emission standards forced onto them by the EU on top of having to deal with low demand in China and Trump's idiotic tariffs. It's possible that Porsche will pull out of the WEC for 2026.
There are multiple reasons for it: Porsche has currently a lot of problems, the profits went down by 91%, they have to reduce costs (mostly staff), Porsche was removed from the DAX and the BoP in WEC.
Their sportsmanager Thomas Laudenbach said the bop (between LMDh and LMH) is a problem that would take years to solve and points to Le Mans 2025 were he claims that Porsche had an almost perfect race and still couldn't defeat the "imbalanced" Ferrari. He compares the bop in wec to the bop in imsa where the porsche also had bop changes after wins but still has chances to win titles.

They should be ok to stay in IMSA. Lower costs (no international travel so less logistics) & an actually competitive field (no Ferrari fix). That's sad news but unfortunately not surprising. I really hope they start focusing more on their traditional combustion engine lineup again so they can get back up on their feet. I would hate to see them leave WEC and IMSA.
