This race is going to be interesting especially if it rains again. Can't believe Cadillac is at the back of the grid and Ferrari is once again up front and center even with the lowest power and higher weight. Ferrari was strong here last year too though so it makes sense. Either way a lot can happen just hope for some good battles from the underdogs and hope Cadillac can make it through the field towards the front.

Well, Cadillac wasn't very smart to put rain tires on both cars.

This was a weird race in the beginning with the safety car and the red flag, but the the last 90minutes were pretty entertaining.

Great result for peugeot :D
I'm sad that the aston martins (and bmw #20, I like Rene Rast) didn't make it, they were always in the middle of the field.

In LMGT3 the battles between Rachel Frey and the Mclarens were really nice and again car problems stopped the iron dames from finishing a race (something in the Porsche smelled "hot"/burnt)...

It was wild to see how cooked the Mustangs wet tires were at the end and they just could not hold on to the lead. Every lap they lost a position to finish in 6th.

It's possible that Porsche will pull out of the WEC for 2026.

There are multiple reasons for it: Porsche has currently a lot of problems, the profits went down by 91%, they have to reduce costs (mostly staff), Porsche was removed from the DAX and the BoP in WEC.

Their sportsmanager Thomas Laudenbach said the bop (between LMDh and LMH) is a problem that would take years to solve and points to Le Mans 2025 were he claims that Porsche had an almost perfect race and still couldn't defeat the "imbalanced" Ferrari. He compares the bop in wec to the bop in imsa where the porsche also had bop changes after wins but still has chances to win titles.

That's sad news but unfortunately not surprising. Porsche were way too optimistic concerning potential sales of their EV's, they have to put up with ridiculous emission standards forced onto them by the EU on top of having to deal with low demand in China and Trump's idiotic tariffs.

I really hope they start focusing more on their traditional combustion engine lineup again so they can get back up on their feet. I would hate to see them leave WEC and IMSA.

They should be ok to stay in IMSA. Lower costs (no international travel so less logistics) & an actually competitive field (no Ferrari fix).

The ELMS return to Silverstone has been interesting if you like red flags. So far 2 in the first 90 minutes caused by LMP2 cars having delusions of grandeur. CLX Racing launched the Iron Lynx Mercedes into the outside wall on the old pit straight and AF Corse P2 managed to wreck a P3 and another P2 on the hanger straight.

Yeah they've been enormous barrier bending crashes. Fingers crossed we can get back racing and keep going. The rain that the race was moved forwards to avoid is looking like it will have a bigger impact to the race.
