Spain are thoroughly deserving winners, They started slowly with that draw against Cabo Verde but then grew into the tournament and they beat Portugal, Belgium, France and then Argentina in the knockouts all whilst not conceding a single goal, and that is pretty remarkable when you consider the attacking talent they faced. What a superb job De La Fuente has done.
I think Argentina just ran out of steam, they had a few knockouts where it went to extra time even before the final and it obviously took it out of them. But that is no excuse for the tactics though which were disgraceful. It was much like Paraguay against France in the last 16 when only one team actually wanted to play and win. Enzo Fernandez and Leandro Paredes are both a disgrace.
I quite enjoyed the tournament overall, some good games and goals, some great stories too with Cabo Verde being the obvious one.
