After the Kimi thing, I think it was time as well. Red Bull are practically a clean slate. Question is, will this influence Max's decision on 2027 even before he drives the next car?
I think the speculation about GP at the moment will play a bigger role.

Horner & Marko being gone probably make it easier for Max to stay, even if he is reportedly still fond of Marko.

As far as I can tell, the GP rumors were completely unfounded, and the sites publishing them have retracted or corrected their articles about it.

Regarding Marko, I think it'll make a difference for Max that Marko is leaving on his own terms, and not being forced out.
Either way, I won't miss Helmut

~ Mercedes turn to direct-injection of Copium ahead of 2026 testing ~

I can only assume that'll look a lot more refined in a couple months time, at present that looks not too dissimilar to parts of my cable management. 😅
Their cables fraying is the way to add the lightning power up from Mario Kart.

The 2026 F1 car has been officially unveiled:

The new design reminds me a bit of the Super Formula cars. It’ll be interesting to see how good the new cars are without ground effect and if the rumors about Red Bull and Mercedes having found a loophole regarding the new engine regulations are true.

A sad day for variety on the grid,
For now yes but won’t Cadillac and Audi make their own power units eventually? Also Aston Martin will be using Honda PU and Red Bull/Racing Bull will have a Ford one. And with the partnership between haas and Toyota stronger than ever before u wouldn’t be surprised if they get their own too one day.
That is 4-5 different PU added to the Merc and Ferrari one it would be at least 6 compared to the 4 that we had in 2025

Audi will be using their own from the start. 2026 will have; Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari, Honda and RBFord. A nett gain of 1 PU manufacturer over last season.

Cadillac I believe will bring a GM motor in 2028.

Audi: Audi
Mercedes: Mercedes, Alpine, McLaren, Williams
Ferrari: Ferrari, Haas, Cadillac
RBFord: Red Bull, Racing Bulls
Honda: Aston Martin

TGR typically like to have continuity across their liveries, with almost every TGR team last year using the black GR livery. I wonder if this then, is the first hint at what the TGR Haas livery may look like:

Let’s hope so because imo the TGR livery looks way better with more emphasis on the red parts!

I think it look really good. I would love if it is similar on the WEC car and on the Haas cars. I also hope for a Suzuka special like last year with the sakuras it was such a good design in my opinion.

I'm a bit confused by Toyota's decision to ditch the GR branding for their flagship WEC team, but keep it for other series.

Seems to be everything from former TTE (Toyota Team Europe) and Toyota F1 (Toyota Motorsport Gmbh 2002-2020, Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe Gmbh since 2020 - 2025), in Cologne, Germany at (now 2026-) Toyota Racing GmbH will be branded Toyota Racing while GR - Gazoo Racing is the Japan driven part or for external projects like WRC or Haas F1 (which can still come from Cologne).

From what I read, the WRC team is in a transitional year so it won't apply yet for 2026. 2027 is when that will be reflected with the WRC team as well.

20 years ago I was a huge Audi fan. Had an A3 Quattro (god I miss that car), loved them at Le Mans, the R18 is my go to Prototype. Got to drive an S4, loved the RS4. So why do I just not care about them coming to F1?
