I'm so sick and tired of hearing this.

THE RACE used to be a channel with actual insight and good information. But their clickbait videos are getting annoying at this point. We've literally not seen anything from the AMR yet, and people are already hyping it up. I feel as though people are hyping that car up purely because Newey is on the team, and he's been there for only 10 months.

And don't get me started on people going "But look at the Newey horn winglets on the intake that was introduced 20 years ago!"

Ugh, I'm so fed up with The Race. Day 1: Ferrari doesn't look good, midfield at best. Day 2: We can't read anything into these shakedown laptimes. But they finished day 3 off with a fastest lap, they are in for a chance at the WCC this year!

They are so desperate for content and viewer circulation.

How about we make up our minds come Melbourne.
Ah but you have to remember that The Race is the oracle that has the definitive say on everything as they give their VERDICT on everything.

Ugh, don't get me started... And it gets worse every season...

They put out an article and every single content creator jumps on it and takes their rumours for fact.

This is an example of when designers know better lol. Lots of people thought we wanted yellow but what we got was true Cadillac - white and black like 90% of actual Cadillacs sold, chrome details to celebrate American luxury, an asymmetrical and inverted livery which hasn’t been done since the 90s I believe, and they even managed to squeeze in vintage whitewall tires without looking ridiculous.

What are the chances they bust out a pink Mary Kay edition for Austin? It could work! 😂

As for details, you can’t really tell from normal photos but the gradients aren’t basic gradients, it’s actually sort of a carbon weave or herringbone pattern which looks great up close. Very intricate which is a staple of American art-deco.

Very small Mastercard logos considering they are the title sponsor.

The Cadillac looks very nice. McLaren West pulled off this colour scheme quite well and hopefully the Cadillac looks just as good in action.

Cadillac is ok, I like the white wheels.

McLaren once again a bit of mess in terms of sponsor placement. More orange on the body with black wings would be nicer imo.

I guarantee that Google shelled out a lot more to get their unwanted AI drivel in the main spot there.

That aside, if the Mastercard logo was in that big blank spot under Gemini and the other two sponsors were spaced out more evenly, it'd look a lot less cluttered. There's really no need to cram everything up in the sidepods like that when that much usable space is still available.

I wanna like that Cadillac (that asymmetry is pretty rad) but another white car? LAME, we wanted more color :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: HAAS, Audi, Mercedes, Racing Bulls, and now Cadillac rocking the white, grey, and boring primary colors :grumpy: don't get me started on the blue Williams, Red Bull, and Alpine next.

Anyways, that Mastercard logo on the sidepod looks so damn cramped and awkward next to the OKX logo

That blank spot might actually be used for cooling vents/louvers on the real car?

Could be, but even then I feel like they could do something with fitting a sponsor into that space. But I'm not the one who gets large amounts of money to design liveries, so hey ho.

Long may Aston continue with metallic green. Bearing in mind what I said about the Cadillac looking nice, the grid would look much worse without Aston Martin.

Always good to see some different approaches. That Audi design is wild! Hope it works out for them

Also what's up with that Ferrari aero rake with all the tubes in random positions? Normally they're mostly on a grid. Looks like someone accidentally dropped it before mounting it to the car 😅

Less weight maybe? Less aerodynamic disturbance to the rear end? I think it mostly enables them to place sensors exactly where they want them rather than be limited to where they'll fit on a fixed grid shape. Aston look like they've done something similar.

The Caddy looks better with a (literal) splash of (vizflow) green at the bottom

I didn’t notice the Cadillac had green in it. Cool. I’m also digging the Audi silver.
It doesn't. During testing, the teams will sometimes spray parts of the car with high-visibility paint so that they can see how air flows around certain areas at speed. The Radar-looking gates on the McLaren and Ferrari are for a similar purpose IIRC.

While it is only a testing session, Aston Martin isn't looking too great currently, as they were only able to do 36 laps today, well off the lap number of everyone else.

Someone on Reddit posted telemetry data earlier today, the Aston was almost 3k rpm down on everyone else at the top of 8th gear, suggesting Honda is struggling with reliability/power yet again, or Aston is sandbagging heavily (LA Noire doubt x.jpg).
