F1s World Destructors Championship after Brazil

View attachment 1404009

Not sure why they're missing Bearman. Antonelli should be there too after Monza regarding damage costs are part of the budget cap.
So despite Sargeant crashing all the time, Albon is far worst. Next season should be interesting at Williams 😂
I still don't understand why Perez is still at Red Bull.

Ouch, Williams losing $9.5m in damage replacements?! Do we know if those costs are estimations for replacing the parts broken, or does it factor in when parts have been repaired (like floors, etc)?

Mario Andretti (who I guess is filling the Marko role for GM) confirmed that Cadillac would be looking at one experienced driver and one American for their initial 2026 lineup. Danny Ric and Colton Herta seem to be the early bookies favourites.

FIA Superlicence points depending...

Herta is at 39 points, all he needs is one more point. Doing 100km in a free practice session would get him a point, but who's going to do that?

He's almost there....

I'm sure if he's close and GM really wants him the FIA would make an exception this time around. Money talks.

Where does this come from? He finished 10, 10, 2nd in Indycar the last 3 years which are 1 + 1 + 30 = 32. So back to 31 when starting 2025. Where are these 7 points from?

The Race did a video on Cadillac and they said he will be on 32 going into 2025 and would need 4th overall in IndyCar to clear the superlicense.

They're allowed to count the best 3 seasons over the past 4 years because of covid.

2021 (8 points)
2022/23 (1 point each)
2024 (30 points)

So he'll still loose the 8 from 2021 starting 2025.

Paul Aron will be Alpine’s reserve driver in 2025

Aww, we won't have a chance for 5 second penalty for Ocon until next year.

Yup, this has just been confirmed. It seems to be part of a deal to allow Ocon to do the post-season test with Haas as Alpine didn't really want to let that happen, that's how badly the relationship between Ocon and the team has got. It's a win though for Ocon as he can now go straight to Haas and spend the rest of the year working with them.

That will make 2024 the first season since 1977 in which three Australian drivers raced at least once (Alan Jones, Larry Perkins, Vern Schuppan, there was also a 4th but Brian McGuire only entered the British GP and didn't pre-qualify).

Friday practice-only drivers don't count so as not to muddy the waters.

It's happened.

If Hadjar wins the F2 title this weekend, I can see him getting that RB seat.
Yuki has done enough for promotion and Lawson is definitely worth keeping at RB for a next year at least.

Verstappen and Tsunoda at Red Bull
Lawson and Hadjar at VCARB

That is the best solution for 2025, let's see if the higher-ups agree to it.

They won't. Perez saves them too much money with his sponsors. It'll be as it is at the end of 2024 and Hadjar will go to Super Formula or something while he wants for someone to get dropped..

I hope it's worth the $22m he's cost the team in coming 3rd in the constructors title.

* edit *

It is! Apparently his sponsors, lets just call it Carlos Slim Inc, not only brings $30m in sponsorship to RedBull, but also pays his salary.

Read that as Pete Aron, but then questioned if Yamura-san approved the swap due to a clause with Jordan-BRM.

Hadjar makes Tsunoda sound calm and collected over the radio, should be interesting.

Perez has been around for a long time and has had some great races, so I hope he goes out with some dignity in his last one. Not just some Barrichello kind of "retirement".

The Ocon situation is kind of amusing, he doesn't seem to get along with anyone. I suspect we'll see plenty of drama at Haas too.

Hmmm. Is there a specific series for said session? If not, there is that 12 Hour Race at Abu Dhabi this month...

Guess it falls to Lance Stroll to fill that vacancy.

And knowing how Marko is unable to actually SEE reason (and no, I am not apologizing for that joke just as he will never with his crappy treatment of drivers), he will not.

Would you say that even in the Komatsu era, we might see the return of those smashed doors?

It has to be F1
Does it need to be in season during a race weekend or can It be at something like the Rookie test?

FP1 at race weekends
So realistically, this weekend would be his best shot to achieve that IF he is a serious contender.
